Sorry I taught you splendor duel wrong
Mike is singing Franz Ferdinand while Dan is listening to arctic monkeys and I don't know if it's a deliberate joke

If a girl can't be impressed by a beyblade, she's not worth impressing.
Narmatonia
The Slayer shirt was mirrored, as were Graham and The Doctor's partings, and apparently The Doctor's handedness too. I assume they just flipped the footage

why is @mikebithell the voice of god in this episode?
GoodLuck
Did he do a pod cast for ep 8?
Joseph Howard
I'm that 11% that just isn't enjoying this series
Joseph Howard
I miss the fun mat smith and david tenant wacky style. This just feels too real with aliens in it.
Normal Dream
The Slayer shirt was mirrored, I assumed all the shots were too.

I do wonder, an universe that is a frog, is that a fricking Homestuck reference in Doctor Who?
Jord Bijker
I had an eyebrow piercing as a teenager too, and 3 weeks later I lost it playing football somewhere between Luxemburg and germany

Really miss the normal weekly podcast. Can't wait to see it return. It's my favourite podcast of the week.
Felicity Kenneally
I saw son of mask in the cinema as a child and I literally remember nothing about it except that I saw it
Joel Coxhead
I heard a reference to Steven Universe so I'm obligated to ask for a Steven Universe podcast please!
Daniel Marshall
The Mask remake is based on the comics, stumbled across it the other week and then ended up watching a video talking about the comics. It's a bit different to the Jim Carey film. And other than a lul in the middle, I really enjoyed the new Sabrina. General rule, if Michelle Gomez is in something I'm going to enjoy it
Jorge Alejandro Chiuz Flores
The Mask movie, mike is talking about, was a really good fan made trailer edit, that was making the rounds a few years ago, that was it.
Harry Cochrane
I came away from the episode thinking the exact same thing. My biggest question was “when did they make Ryan a dick?”, as his actions and dismissive nature toward Hanne didn’t really have an on-screen explanation. I plan on rewatching this episode again though based on this podcast. There was a lot of funny dialogue that I liked, but I just felt the reveal was disappointing, especially as Hanne’s dad didn’t seem to give a shit about the psychological torture he’d put his daughter through. I think maybe I took the episode too seriously (possibly by design, given it was framed like a Fennoscandian thriller) and should re-watch it through the lens of camp, whimsical sci-fi.

You should make nerd3 more family friendly by bleeping out all the swears but give us all that unsencored loveliness

The single best part of Revenge of the Mask is that the trailer score is an instrumental version OF GANGSTER'S PARADISE!!!

I kinda find the hugely positive reaction to this episode kinda weird because I legitimately thought it was one of the worst of the season. The reveal of what the "villain" was just an exposition dump, the frog looked awful, they never touched on why Ryan thought Hanne's dad had ditched her (because his own dad did) and btw, he was completely right, his dad did just ditch her but there was never any pay off for that either. I don't think it was one of the worst episodes but I also just really don't think it was very good at all. Witchfinders was good though. End was a bit rushed but an enjoyable episode.

I think this podcast has jumped the proverbial beyblade

As a norwegian, i can say Im not offended by Dans comment about us not having any emotions. This could ofcourse, be due to my lack of emotions.
Aaron Place
Yeah, it's strange. Not having his parents is a big character point for Ryan. Seemed like the perfect opportunity to talk about it.
Dave Miller
Yes! I came to point out the same thing. The part in Jodie's hair was on the opposite side, too.
Arkman
Man I'm going to miss these if they don't go back through Classic Who
Matthew Barus
THE SLAYER SHIRT WAS MIRRORED IN THE MIRROR UNIVERSE
Zev Cooper-Bennun
Liked the whole episode except that g'damn frog. I like weird Doctor Who don't get me wrong but I thought it was quite a big episode deflater tbh. Pulled me riiight outta the story.
Stephen Staver

Dan... We need a Steven Universe Podcast... With Rebecca!
Tom Chaney
I don't follow music either, but I still manage to hear more than Dan. There's that song from the ad on BBC 2, there's Call Me Maybe... the Rent soundtrack?
Aaron Place
Just talked to my gran, she knows both the Arctic Monkeys and Taylor Swift. Dan is 100 years old confirmed.

My question is, why did they not hit the character point of Ryan defending his suggestion that her dad had run off because his dad did the same to him? I mean, it would be a good moment for him, and what we got was just Yaz acting like he was a bit of a dick.
Aaron Place
Honestly I'd love to watch a series of you two just talking about TV and Movies you've been watching
Aaron Place
Completly agree about Grahamn. Came into the series expecting to cringe and hate him. BUT OH MY GOD I LOVE HIM, DONT DIE
Aaron Place
Just had a quick google, she's british!
zeddubbsy
Dan was too exhausted/stuff was going on to record a podcast for episode 8
Paul Turner
Please stop predicting Grahamn's death, because I think you're right but I like him and I really want to believe he can make it and we will be wrong. Please. Cheese and pickle sandwiches.

I am a Swedish learner or a few years and have heard Norwegians, especially children, speak English and the girl's accent is SPOT on. I don't know if she is actually Norwegian or not? Also something that really annoys me about James I & VI in that episode: James I & VI was a Scottish King and had a strong Scottish accent. WHY DID CUMMINGS NOT DON A SCOTTISH ACCENT?!
D&D Lemur
Thank god, i was super worried
Liam Spain
The new Sabrina is more true to the comics
EL Mush
...am I going mad or was there no podcast for episode 8?
