I 100% agree with Dan on this
CB
This master acts similar to Christophers Doctor which is interesting
CB
A convoluted mess of an episode but fuck me I loved it and Jodie was FINALLY given more to do as the doctor than just being quirky š
Joseph Howard
Holy shit I legit questioned if I watched the second episode even tho I listen to this podcast afterwards. That's how bad the episode was

āMoffat would have put it on-screenā have you ever seen a show called Sherlock? I definitely agree that bullshit was VERY Moffat-y.
Jenifer W
U do know the master said he distorted Galifray
Jenifer W
Moffet needed to be held back in the last Capoldi season

Am I the only one who thought the aliens looked like dudes in cowboy hats
Emma Jacob
I'm SO GLAD you also think this wasn't intended to be a Master episode, I've been thinking that since like halfway through this part and the bitter validation makes me feel slightly less infuriated
Jenifer W
In the first Martha episode with the Jadoon the dr uses a similar in timeline time travel to meet Martha on the street before the hospital remember Also the sound of the 2 heart beats was the masters drum beat I hated Clara 2

Moffat can write *exactly* three series of television. Season 4 of Coupling is much worse, Season 4 of Sherlock is much worse and Season 8 of Doctor Who is much worse.
Wurstmann
But there is a link directly under the title?
Joseph Howard
I couldn't stop thinking they would turn everyone in a Cyberman and that it would reveal the glow guys are cyber man from a different universe. And the vor would turn everyone into a data base for cyber man.... But it was all just shit dis connected
Callum Chaney
Yeah CRISPR cas9 is probably the one he's think of
Robert Chisholm
Random request, could you include a download link to the Podcast Dan? I like to listen to it when I'm running and have to keep digging through patreon's web code to get the file out.
Adam Gaffney
I'm with Dan on Dido, she is fantastic and I also have the new album on vinyl, absolutely no shame
Addy0302
The ship from the Tsuranga Conundrum did need a pilot but they just used a character introduced in that episode
Patrick Jackson
Coupling was brilliant. I use semi-colons every day! I did enjoy the set-piece where the companions met the Doctor and Ada and Noor and were instantly a little jealous, but as with a lot of the set-ups in this episode they didn't really get the maximum out of it. Oh... CRISPR, you nearly got there!
Harry Cook
I really liked this one!! I didn't like part but this part was great.
FireStalk
Is it bad that I use this podcast as a notification to watch Doctor who cause I enjoy this more than the episodes
Dylan Tavares
First things first Gallifrey was never destroyed in the first time, Second at least we can finish the Hybrid story in this season.
Alfie
Oh hereās another bang your head against the wall for half an hour letās hunt Chris Chibnall for sport moment! WHY THE FUCK WAS ADA LOVELACE IN THE CASAVAN (or whatever they were called) DIMENSION and apparently had been nipping in and out since she was 13?!?!
Nerd³
The Doctor wasn't there, but already had been! We saw the plaque showing Ryan the way to go, so he tells the Doctor about it, so the Doctor adds it to the plane, so Ryan sees it, so he tells the Doctor, so the Doctor adds it, so Ryan sees it, so he tells the Doctor, so the Doctor adds it, so Ryan sees it, so he tells the Doctor... etc etc etc
Nerd³
Ah! Not series 11, but a Chibnall episode! That's what got me confused!
Seggins Productions
I hate watching doctor who in the US, they spread a 45 minute episode across an hour and a half!
Jack Jones
the episode that needed two pilots was dinosaurs on a space ship the ship needed two pilots of the same gene pool to fly it
Soronlin
The plane escape was bad, but it did have redeeming features. The Doctor was not rescued by it and didn't know in advance how it was done. So no information was generated from thin air, which is my main dislike of the trope. Since the Doctor wasn't there, it isn't as paradoxical as it could be. She /could/ have done it without being told it was her, and that would just have been worse story-telling.

I haven't listened yet but personally I really enjoyed both episodes, yes they have flaws but overall I thought it was a bad season opener. The only thing I want explaining is how the master was there, was it a regeneration before missy? Or was it a written out death to bring back the character (Post-missy)?
DapperCyborg
Crispr, look at me being the guy in the comments, dapper away weeeeeeeeee
Jack Jones
but dans defence about the doctor going back matt smith did that in the lodger
