New Patreon Tiers Q&A and Information!

I just wanted to give you all a heads up on how the new Patreon rewards are going to work, when to expect them to be available, and how you can move your membership to them if you desire!
So as a refresher, here are the upcoming new tiers (One of which has been dropped since the last post since nobody wanted it) and what they'll have:
£1 Per Month - The Classic Tier
- The Patreon Podcast!
- 24 hour early access to videos!
- Extra videos!
- Early access to the BRAND NEW MONTHLY PODCATS! (Note: These podcasts will also be available on the MATN Patreon and to MATN YouTube members at the same time they go live on here, they'll then go live publicly a month later on https://anchor.fm/podcatsfuture)
- Basically the exact same old Patreon as you love it.
£5 Per Month - The Credits Tier
- Your name in the credits at the end of every video, and during the start screens of every livestream! It'll be like being a Best Boy or a Junior Dailies Colourist!
- Access to a new, special Discord channel where I'll be posting regularly. It'll mostly be pictures of my pets!
- Everything from the tiers above!
£15 Per Month – The Physical Reward Tier - UK Only – Limit 260
- Once a month, you'll receive an envelope containing two art prints. These will be printed on very nice paper, have secret extra bits printed on the back of them, and be signed by both Rebecca and Daniel.
- The first month will also come with a lovely holographic sticker!
- Where we can, materials posted will be recyclable or compostable! Eco!
- LIMITED to couple hundred. (Will readjust limit between tiers if need be)
- Everything from the tiers above!
£17.50 Per Month – The Physical Reward Tier - Rest of World – Limit 140
- The same tier as above, but costs a little more to cover postage to non-UK places!
- LIMITED to couple hundred. (Will readjust limit between tiers if need be)
£50 Per Month - The Ludicrous Tier – Limit 5
- A personalised, minute long video every 3 months! (Think cameo and you'll be on the right track.)
- Your name read out at the start of every non-show video during the month! ("This video brought to you by... Norman Twot!")
- Your name at the top of the credits!
- Everything from the tiers above!

Up to speed? EXCELLENT. I'm going to try and answer the most common queries you might have - feel free to ask any questions in the comments on this post and I'll try my best to respond to as many as possible - I'll also add any significant questions right into this post!
When are you adding the new tiers?
We plan to add all of these new tiers around the 5th of August, we're starting them then so there's a nice clean break between this month as last so it's as simple as possible, and to give as much time as possible for people to get that months reward.
What's happening to existing tiers?
The current £1 tier will remain as is and just have its name changed (It will also be the only tier available for a yearly membership at this time).
The rest of the current tiers will be hidden, all the new tiers however will be new and require you to opt-in to them. This is because the new tiers need more information from you to be fulfilled, and we need your explicit consent to use that data (For shipping, or in the credits, or whatever).
That means if you're currently on the £15 a month tier, you'll remain on that tier until you manually opt into the new £15 a month prints tier. I know it's a bit of a faff, but that's unfortunately the best way to go about it.
How do I get the new tiers without being double billed?
To be clear here: You will never be charged twice. Patreon applies any money you've already spent that month as credit to new tiers, so for example: If you're currently paying £10 a month and have already paid it when the new tiers go live, and you want to get the new £15 tier, you can just choose the new £15 a month membership, the £10 you've already spent will be deducted for that month, and you'll only pay £5. So to be clear, you will never be double charged.
This also applies to currently existing yearly memberships - so if let's say you paid £12 six months ago for a year long Patronage, £6 can be applied as credit if you want to move to a new monthly tier.
Apologies if I made that sound more complicated than it is, TL;DR you won't get double billed and you don't have to worry about it.
When will physical rewards be shipped?
They will only start to be shipped at the start of the following month. So anyone who backs the art print tier in August will have their prints shipped at the start of September. This is to allow everyone's payments to clear, and so anyone who backs right at the end of the month can still get it. All prints will be shipped at the same time, and I shall alert you all when they've been shipped
How long will my physical rewards take to arrive?
Full disclosure here, the first months prints might take a bit longer to get to you than they will in future. I personally will will be packaging and posting them myself. I'm not hugely sure how long that process will actually take me since we've not done it before, so there might be some minor teething troubles!
If you're international from the UK, you'll have to wait potentially up to 6 weeks from the shipping notification for your prints to arrive. Now they shouldn't take nearly that long, but international postage can be very slow sometimes so be patient. If you still haven't gotten your prints by then you can contact us to arrange a replacement.
If you're in the UK, please wait up to 2 weeks from postage to see if it arrives. If not, you can contact us to arrange a replacement.
Items will be sent in the UK using standard 2nd class Royal Mail postage, and internationally via Royal Mail and then to your local carrier (So, USPS in the United States for example). We're not shipping these items via any sort of tracked service because it costs significantly more and would take significantly more time and effort to arrange. But prints are in a fairly standard size cardboard mailer and will fit through your letterbox.
Why is there a separate prints tier for UK and International?
Shipping to any country outside of the UK is significantly more expensive than us shipping domestically. We debating eating that cost, but it almost doubles the cost of each thing we send out so we had to make it a second tier.
The only difference between them is the shipping cost.
What happens if I back the wrong shipping tier?
There's two possibilities here:
• If your postage address is not in the UK (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland) and you purchase the UK tier your prints will not be shipped, and you'll likely get a message explaining as such, giving you the opportunity to choose the right tier.
• If your postage address is in the UK (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland) and you purchase the International tier your prints will be shipped. You will however be sent a message allowing you to correct the overpayment.
At the end of the day, please just choose the right tier. If you're in one of the 4 countries of the UK (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland), then choose UK. If your shipping address is anywhere else, choose international.
Why do the UK and International tiers have different limits?
So, our hard limit on how many prints we can actually do in the first month is 400. Patreon doesn't allow us to limit individual benefits that spread across tiers, so we have to limit the tiers themselves. The limits we've chosen are based on the poll we did a couple of weeks ago. However we'll be watching the demand very closely and will adjust the ratio available between UK and International tiers if needed so as many people as possible have a chance to get them.
When will digital rewards be filled?
Much like the physical rewards, digital stuff like getting your name in the credits will only begin to be processed at the start of the next month. What that means in practicality is if you back the credits tier for example, you name will start appearing in the credits at the beginning of the following month (For the first month we'll probably try to update it more frequently to get going faster, but from then on it'll be a monthly change). This is just because of how Patreon works, and how benefits get processed in the back end. So if you don't start seeing your name in the credits immediately after backing please don't be surprised.

I can't find any source for this and it's the first I'm hearing about it. AFAIK there is no quarantine for international mail and I can't imagine we have the facilities to pull that off.

Another thing to keep in mind for US patrons is that the USPS has been doing a 2 week quarantine hold of items that come from out of the country. I know restrictions have been ending around many cities, but I know the USPS is still very strict on their COVID measures so it's possible, come September, that it will still be their policy.

It was answered in the post, it will not automatically change due to the additional disclosure of personal information (Your shipping information) requires your explicit consent, so you will have to change to that tier when the time comes.
