Just some quick UPDATES
🕑 Added 2022-05-17 11:17:51 +0000 UTCHello, Matt here! Just a few updates on the state of things:
- PRINTS: The April Prints have been ready to be shipped since the 12th of May (They're all packaged, with postage, and in Royal Mail sacks). They were supposed to be collected on the 13th, however nobody turned up. Royal Mail Business are a big fucking mess, but we have no affordable alternative option (If we switched to a proper courier like UPS or DPD for example, the cost of the print tiers would have to go up almost 50% to cover the extra cost, which we don't think is worth it). I've been pestering them, and it's Tuesday now and still nobody has came and collected it.
As it stands, I'm just waiting for Royal Mail. I can't just take them to a post office (They refuse to take it), and I can't put them in a letterbox as the amount of prints would actually fill about 15 postboxes. Lastly, I can't even deliver them myself to the delivery office. Waiting is unfortunately the only option and I'm sorry about that - Royal Mail are a disorganised and bureaucratic mess. - VIDEOS: I'm feeling quite a bit better in myself and I'm slowly ramping up the amount of video editing I'm doing per week, however there will be a bit of a gap next week as I'm having some minor surgery with about 1-2 weeks recovery time, which I will be taking properly off. There should hopefully be plays if I can get ahead enough in the next week, but Show videos will be off the table.
I really appreciate how supportive you've all been. I know our output has been somewhat sporadic, we've all been ill or incredibly overwhelmed for various reasons over the past few months, which has made everything slower. But we're all on the mend and should hopefully be back to full capacity in the next month or two. Daniel is also thinking of adding an extra perk or two on here to give you all a bit more value for money, which I'm sure he'll talk about in a podcast eventually.

Sounds about right! I still have to arrange the damn collections over the phone, and pay over the phone too. Then that team send just an EMAIL to the collections office, they have no form of CMS or anything, just emails. I have more of a god damn system.

That’s the impression I get! It’s extra frustrating that there’s no other viable option - I’d have moved to a private courier by now if we were shipping bigger stuff, but normal sized mail is way *way* cheaper via normal postal services. BAH.

Good luck with the surgery and don't worry about us/content. Sad to hear Royal Mail Business hasn't really changed in nearly 20yrs (back when I was interested in getting pick-ups, parcels going out everyday etc etc: they were more concerned that I had "royalmail" as part of the username of my email address for antispam/filtering). Sigh.
