Shorts Feedback Poll!

(This is an add-on post to this one, so read that post first)
Sorry for the double post, I figured it''d be useful to have a poll to more clearly get the preference of how (and if) subtitled should be displayed on the vertical shorts videos!
Any more granular feedback to your choice is also very welcomed in the comments here or on the initial post!

I think line by line works best out of the three but maybe using wbw occasionally for more emphasis on specific points in the explanation or comedic moments might be a good idea

I think line by line is good, but the subtitles need to be higher up in the vertical video

For shorts the line by line subtitles work very well. I actually like the high line by line subtitles for the 16:9 version in this case but generally, I'd think that optional (lower) subtitles would be better. I'll be back after checking out how other shorts do it and where it works best.

I just woke up and so while my brain is still fuzzy, I found it easiest to take in information whilst still appreciating the video with the line by line subtitles. With no subs, my brain went to mush, with the word by word, I could only focus on the subtitles changing but not actually take in any information.

I think somewhere between line by line and word by word.

There's an old technology called spritz reading that can be shown to allow reading pretty fast to match the pace of the videos so I think word-by-word could be good? https://codepen.io/keithwyland/pen/yLyLNz

The line by line for the short content works better, however I found myself focus shifting from the game itself to words. Possibly moving where the subtitles are placed towards the top will help maintain the game-play itself as the focus for the videos visuals

Subtitles are nice for tiktok/shorts. Personally the word by word is really distracting from the gameplay video with them constantly flashing by.

I think stylizing the line by line to more, at least in their location, would better help draw viewers attention to what they're supposed to be looking at. I just found it distracting looking at the subtitles and couldn't focus on the video. But that may just be me. And as some said, maybe doing sometimes a word by word, but continuously adding to one line, but only when appropriate.
no idea, but i am pro subtitles
