Good times with the ortolans, it's a super fucked up ritual

Oh my god, this is literally a podcast of Dan lighting a bush. Why are we suprised.

That's really interesting! My silver tree was bought in the 60's (I'm pretty sure, although they first started selling them in the mid fifties) and when my Grandma gave me it she didn't replace it, she just stopped putting up a tree. So around 60 years for that one, and my Teal tree I think I bought when I was 17? So I've had that around 17 years so far and it still looks as good as the day I bought it. If it sticks around with me for the rest of my life I'll be very happy because I love it, and if someone would like to inherit my silver and teal trees from me I'd be even happier!

For anyone interested, you need to keep a plastic tree for more than 20 years to offset the emissions created in its manufacture If you can choose a real tree, they're considerably better for the climate https://ecochain.com/blog/sustainable-christmas-trees/#:~:text=It%20basically%20comes%20down%20to,trees%20need%20to%20be%20produced.
