As someone who believes in leaving when a relationship turns toxic, I like how that wasn't the case for these characters, which made the reconciliation feel possible and legitimate. They were people that drifted apart and then wanted to put in effort to understand and reconcile with each other. You handled this so well, even in conflict their dynamic felt healthy.
