i’m not usually one for sappy stuff but i’d like to share this. almost four months ago i broke my ankle (falling in the most stupid way) and the night that followed was awful — i was in pain, my roommate was a professional snorer and i could not find a comfy position to rest, struggling with the bag of ice over my foot, the pillows below it and the blankets. thanks to the two other anxiety/sleepy audios i could close my eyes for a couple of hours. fast forward to this morning, i listened to this while getting ready for work (i know, it’s supposed to make you sleepy not otherwise) and it was such a pleasant and comforting way to start the day. thank you august. 💗 okay corny shit OVER. love y’all

I was having one of those sleeps you talked about where I kept waking up yesterday (today?). Saw the notif when I woke up for the nth time and the audio knocked me out for a few more hours. Loved the choice of background music. It was also raining irl so that was great timing. Petrichor is the best scent ever! I have many fun childhood memories of running around in the rain, jumping in puddles and making paper boats. And it gets so much better when the scent is especially wet-earthy. Felt nice to reminisce while falling asleep. Also spent today with a childhood friend so it’s all been very nostalgia-heavy. This was wonderful. Thank you, August :)

This sleepy talk is so serene and calming but I found myself laughing a bit in the little comments in between “I don’t know, I’m not an expert.” 💀 Recalling your favorite scents and memories evoked a particular childhood memory of mine. We had these guava trees planted in our front yard that would smell like an absolute dream. I’d come home from school everyday and would pick one (or two) off of the trees. They gave off this fruity and sweet aroma which I absolutely loved. Now, that particular scent takes me back 💓 Thank you August for the audio! Yess, this was so nice. As you reminisced memories of being out in nature, it reminds me of when I went out to a Botany Trip with my class and we went to a Salt Marsh Habitat so early in the morning incredibly cloudy, but the sun would shine on us so lightly. This was so soothing and delightful, I could listen to childhood reminiscence for hourssss 🥺 Much like the last sleepy talk audio, there was almost an ethereal omnipresence here and it felt like you were flipping through chapters of your life and sharing snapshots of your favorite moments. Really lovely and touching and relaxing. Some fave smells: damp pavement when it’s just starting to rain, bleach/detergent, my dad’s cologne, stale coffee + old books (reminiscent of my favorite teachers), and this suuuuper specific combo of jasmine flowers + hot asphalt. Every time I smell that particular combo it brings me back to summers as a preteen playing outside while the sun is setting, when the day is winding down and the heat of the afternoon is cooling off. The air smells sweet and a lil musky with flowers and leftover sunshine 🌸🌅 Thank youuuu for this lovely audio and happy sleepy times to everyone! 💘😴
