Okay so I'm finally caught up with Fleabag, and I can respond to this! I always enjoy your ramblings so no need to worry about that! I thought that your commentary on the confession scene as a man was particularly interesting when you broke it down from a male perspective. Honestly, it was pretty refreshing? Because I agree that the situation or concept can be appealing outside of the context of the show. But yeah, your input about how his response to her vulnerability is driven by his arousal and attraction makes it a bit unsettling. I can, and I'm sure lots of others definitely relate as a woman, opening up to a man and not really being heard in that moment. Like, pouring your heart out and he'll take away from the moment to talk about how I look. Or try and show non-platonic affection when that wasn't what I needed. I really appreciate your commentary on that specifically, cause I think it takes a certain level of self-awareness and reflection to even notice that. Anyway, always enjoy the chatty audios and your perspective on things! Hope you're enjoying your trip. :))
