The only things I know about Silk is that her last name is Moon, and she's Asian. As far as 616 Jess goes, a few dickwads got a bug up their ass a while back when Milo Manara (the Italian adult comic artist) was doing the covers of her Spider-Woman book, saying they were too sexy and her costume was too "revealing"- even though it covered her completely from head to toe - so Marvel backed down, kicked Manara off the book, gave her this shitty new costume, and made her pregnant, all in an attempt to make her as un-sexy as possible. It's a real shame, because it cost the character quite a few readers, and she's actually a pretty unique character with an interesting backstory. But honestly, I stopped reading all Spidey titles on a regular basis when they announced Miles Morales was gonna be a regular character in 616, because I think that character sucks; crappy personality, no charisma, and he keeps getting pushed only for this diversity for the sake of senseless diversity kick that Marvel has been on for a while. Now I only pick up a Spidey title once in a blue moon, and mostly only if Ultimate Jess is making an appearance.

Right on the money with how I was feeling. I also really dislike Silk. She's such a boring character in my opinion. From a fanfiction writers perspective she's such a mary sue... it just kills me. Only Gwen made sense, and if you read her comics one of the huge selling point (for me anyway) is that she sucks. And Peter Parker sucked when he first started too, so the parallels are very awesome to read. Jessica, was essentially what Peter could've been if he joined SHIELD. 616 Jessica Drew isn't really all that appealing to me. Especially with this whole pregnancy arc they got going with her. TL/DR we need more Ultimate Jessica Drew in our lives

I always felt Ultimate Jess is probably the hottest alt-reality Spider-babe in existence; and that's saying something considering how insanely sexy each and every one of the Spidey girls are. And I agree with Ninja Style regarding her costume; like all classic costumes, it's simple, direct/self-explanatory, and sleek, and using no more than two or three plain colors. Easy to remember and easy to recreate; A.K.A. perfect. The majority of new costumes or modern re-designs of old costumes are too cluttered with belts, straps, or those stupid-looking seam lines all over the damn place (like most of the crap costumes from D.C.'s New 52) and/or have so many colors all over them it's just an eyesore that looks like a gay clown exploded all over them, lol. I feel that in costume design, as in most things in life, the K.I.S.S. principle always applies; Keep It Simple, Stupid :D .

I didn't understand it either. Especially since it was such a short run. I hope ultimate Jessica Drew gets brought back somehow in some capacity... Otherwise I may only see her again here or in my own work
