Surprisingly, this month has two comics with very few things in common.
In fact, they're very apart in terms of narrative tone, art style and general mood.
While Gwen faces a rough time with some of her universe's villains, the animal duo is jumping heads-first into the smutventure of a lifetime.
Maybe the only thing in common is that things definitely don't turn out how they expected it to be.

SPIDER-GWEN #2
Gwen's powers are gone. She now relies on special power-ups that give her temporary spider-abilities to continue her crime-fighting carreer. Her supplier is Matt Murdock, the evil Kingpin of her reality. But Matt is a wicked and sadistic crimelord, and decides it's time to King'pimp his pretty little Spider-Whore.

It's not only possible, it Happened. She did lose her native powers in the original Spider-Women series. And so she has been relying on power-ups for the last 8 issues or so.

Would get Spider-Gwen, but I wonder why she lost her powers? Would not be possible for that to happen and might be a temporary thing. Ever considered making it an ongoing series?

Weirdly, the description for Spider-Gwen #2 has actually reawakened my desire for a sequel to "Black Cat: Prison Bitch". Specifically, to those final scenes with the Kingpin, which demanded further explanation.

Considering the first rule34 cartoon I ever fapped to was of Bugs Bunny boinking Lola, anthro was never a personal issue to me. But for each, its own, right? ;) This Gwen#2 is certainly darker. I mean, Outerspace Groupie dark. Maybe even more. There's some melancholy in this "sequel" (not really a direct sequel, really), but it's definitely not about grieving matters as the other one. About the power-ups and Evil Matt Murder'dock... Yup! That's pretty much what's going on in Gwen's life on her comics (that and her grinding romance with Miles Morales).

Anthro isn't really my thing, but the premise alone, an alternate reality "porno-verse," has me sold on it. Also, it's fun to see Monky and Porky becoming bros after that initial "Woah, a talking pig!" meeting during the Spider-Verse. As for Spider-Gwen #2, I'm looking forward to seeing Tinkerbomb's artwork again, after "Auntcumming." The premise certainly sounds like it could be a bit darker than usual (Speaking of which, did this whole loss of Gwen's powers and her deal with Kingpin-Murdock actually happen in the comic?), though personally speaking I'm anticipating a more melancholic sentiment anyways, even if non-con doesn't even come into play, just based on the fact that "#2" is a presumed sequel to one of the most touching, forlorn porn comics I've ever stumbled across (It was actually one of your first comics I ever found, Tracy. Still one of my favorites, as it elevated my expectations in the genre).

That cover by Tinkerbomb is freaking amazing! Can't wait for it! Also, very interested of how these Spideys handle their raiding in this new universe. Can't wait for the next previews!

Also not a beast fan, but these are characters with feeling and depth which elevates them in my mind. If anything you could think of them as monsters or aliens. Also hoping Gwen is ultra-dark or another is coming up in that vein.
