Pretty good book. Pretty funny story. If I had one criticism, it would be that it was a little confusing to figure out the positions they were using in the wall-sex montage.

I liked it (a lot), but it was a bit...overstuffed? I dunno, I felt like I had a hard time switching back-and-forth between the banter and the porn; because focusing on one meant I couldn't focus on the other and they were both great.

Betty Brant has been a long time coming. There really isn't any way to review this for me other than being thankful she's gotten a book. Everyone is biased, and this is one I voted for and was sad to see come in second (and thrilled it got made as many runner-ups do). It was basically a solo character piece, the kind of thing Scops hasn't written for a good bit. I was quite thankful. The art was very Romita, I love the classic stylings. The banter was maybe the best of the year, I chuckled more than once on some pages. Jameson was brilliantly written as well, so much so I think maybe he needs his own book down the line. I enjoyed it was so early on in the run it was believable that Spidey's powers come from the suit (and some great positions in the office). I can't really elaborate much this time. It hit every beat I thought and some even better than I hoped for at the end of the day. The expressions, hair, and outfits on both characters were fabulous. Maybe Pete looked a bit mature, but not really. Maybe Betty was a notch too busty. Hey, Betty dated Pete when he was in high school (continuity much)... Yeah I got nothing in criticism. Nailed it.
