Yet another status report

So, the past week hasn't been very productive for me. I know I didn't give a deadline in my last status update, but I was planning to have the PB released by now, so I wanted to at least write a status report.
It's starting to be pretty clear I need to do some changes, as I'm having a lot of trouble getting motivated for this particular project at this moment for whatever reason. Maybe it was too soon for me to try to attempt to go full steam ahead with a larger project again. Or it's just the other projects I'd rather be working on, nagging in the back of my head. Like that one goblin character I've mentioned every now and then, and have been wanting to do since coming up with devil's cookie, for example.
I'm considering pushing Dimini down in priority, to a background project, that I'll work on the side slowly every now and then, when I feel capable, rather than it being the main project. Although I'll of course finish the playblast for the first minute of footage, before doing so.
Instead, I'll likely be focusing on projects I want to do the most at this very moment. So mostly shorter animations, a few minutes long at most, with varied characters and scenarios. Things that I can experiment with more, rather than something that makes me feel tied down on what I can and can't do.
I'll think on this more, and what direction to take things, as I try to finish the second PB for Ch2Pt2. But what I do know is, that things cannot continue as they are, and that I need to change something, or I'll end up not doing this at all for much longer.
Alternatively a much longer break might help as well, where I freeze my patreon/subscribestar for multiple months. But that's the last option I want to consider, and I'd like to avoid it as much as possible, so I'll try pivoting to things I feel I'd find more interesting to work on first.
Anyway, I'll keep you up to date on what I decide on. And regardless, I'll get the second PB for ch2pt2 out first, let's say before the end of next Wednesday, regardless of its status at that point.
I truly apologize for my tardiness during the last weeks. I know you are here for the content, and not to read my status reports, so I will do my best to get back on track!

Playblast in roughly 20-28 hours. Basically around this time tomorrow. I know I said I'd post it today regardless of status, but I've finally been getting some proper work done on it, so I'll try to keep that momentum for a bit, and get it roughly to the point I originally wanted it content wise for the 2nd pb, so it doesn't feel quite as daunting the next time I decide to work on it again.

Been loving your content since 2013, the game(diminishment) is probably the Best GTS game content out there. And for the prolong or delay to me is just like. "Let Them COOK" and the playblast/short animation is like a built up for the main course, Getting burnout is a sign that you need rest or something new. At the end we all be here waiting until you finish cooking and we will enjoy it.

As much as I'm excited for diminishment, I'm even more excited for new eskoz content. You'll always make the best content when you're working on what you want to make, so ill be glad to see whatever you do next!! Take your time and take care of yourself

if you cant get the motivation its best to not try, the burnout will be worse if you do, do what you feel good about first, don't harm yourself for us. we here support your physical and mental health first, at least i know i do.

Budget wise I could afford one animator, but let's just say it's complicated. There's some things I'd need to do before it was an option pipeline wise, and even after those are satisfied there's still the whole bureaucratic side of things to consider, and of course, actually finding someone who'd fit my needs, and who'd be willing to do work on adult content. Hiring your first employee is a pretty big hurdle, at least here. Outsourcing is simpler of course, which I've done occasionally for some things, like background environments, and voice acting.

Makes me a little sad but also happy since you are putting yourself first diminish seems like it will be a 2 year project but on the bright side we will get way more content. btw eskoz do you have the budget for a second animator to alleviate some of the stress or burn out? Could that help too?
