I think there’s some poetic irony to the idea that the BOS, who covet and rely upon advanced technology so much (and who have their roots in the US military before the bombs fell), would need to turn to the great-grandfather of American machine guns 350 years after it entered service

헬리오스원에서는 주로 구식 화약무기를 들고 싸우다가 히든 벨리로 후퇴한 뒤에야 가우스소총 같은 최첨단 무기를 발견하고 사용하게 되는 전개라면... 뉴베가스 시점에서 BoS 내부에 다시 한번 NCR과 붙어보려는 세력이 생기는 것에 개연성을 더해 주겠네요. 머릿수는 줄었을지언정 전에는 없었던 신무기가 손에 들어왔으니까요

This is solid advice. However, I’m assuming that they were engaged in a prolonged war and had depleted their ammunition supplies to the point where they were forced to retrieve old weapons from storage. As a result, there will be a scene where BOS soldiers even capture and use NCR weapons out of necessity.

Nice! Though if I may make a recommendation: Since the BOS is going to be digging up old relics from inside of HELIOS to help fend off the NCR as best they can, wouldn’t they find something more advanced than that within the facility? HELIOS one was a high end US military energy weapons research center after all, so I would bet there’s some pretty decent stuff laying around for the brotherhood to find. I kinda doubt there would only be some early 20th century surplus like the 1919 to be found there. Maybe some actual 2070s era US military hardware would still be around in storage. Weapons like Gauss rifles, tri-beam laser rifles and Laser RCWs. Some pretty good weapons that might be the firepower edge that could help them both defend, and then inevitably break out of HELIOS. It’s also the exact type the stuff we actually see the Mojave chapter using in Fallout: New Vegas later on. So it could also make a good tie in of “So that’s where they got those weapons from” within the game itself.
