Its a small detail, but its cool to see the assault squad come back as well. Since Lucius gave them orders all the way back in wip 10, i guess its likely he's the Assault squad's commander/captain. Its just their goggles too that make them standout, but the fact they all survived the first day is cool to see and now they're a part of the final stand/diversion. Edit: i just saw the Assault squad have special insignia on their shoulder plates. Thats also a really good detail.

Not sure how much they could accomplish. The two veteran rangers who joined the assault proper aren’t all that heavily armed. Had one or both of them brought along something like a pulse rifle instead of those lever actions, they’d probably be able to contribute a lot more to the interior battle. Given they were intending to breach a facility they thought was going to be filled with paladins, hard counters to power armor are an excellent idea. I imagine the best they could do is try and sneak in from up top to start lobbing whatever pulse grenades they still have left at Lucius and his boys to try and disable their PA. Then let the super mutants or conscript horde finish them.

I wonder if the topside crew and the two Vet. Rangers are going to give them some goodbye presents on their way out? Still hard to believe it’s nearly done. Looking forward to the next WiP.

God I've loved this project through its duration. I'm sad that it's almost over but glad Sodaz doesn't have to put up with anymore of certain fans arguing about a certain faction being underpowered or misrepresented. I'm pumped for the next project whenever it comes!
