Unsolved frustrate me but I do enjoy them. I like thinking about what has been presented and what may have happened. Now I've finally caught up on all the episodes I tried a few other podcasts to fill the void and got 3 minutes in to a couple before I turned them off. I like that you don't push an agenda or just ramble and discuss things. So any case is good but I like the mystery a little I guess

I like both because it shows that the police and justice system don't always get it right. I think my favourite cases are the stories where the police had such difficulty solving the case but in the end through meticulous work they brought the right person to justice.

I much prefer solved cases. As others have also said, the unsolved ones frustrate me. Thanks again for putting together such a fantastic podcast. I listen to a lot of podcasts but this one is my favourite by far.

What makes a case interesting to me is its uniqueness, deriving from various aspects, such as setting, time in history, circumstantial details etc. That’s why “The Somerton man” is my all-time favourite. Cases can be mysterious and thrilling in solved and unsolved state. You are very good in choosing them anyway!

I like both. It's nice to have closure with the solved cases and learn about the forensic/ investigative process behind catching the killers. With cold cases, maybe you can help solve the case by putting forth all the facts--from the murder book, interviews, and other primary sources, if you can get those, as well as newspaper accounts.

Im a fan of both. The solved gives us the complete picture and all the known facts but the unsolved one gives us suspense with all the potential suspects. Agree that no spoiler alerts too early make the story intriguing to the end!

I'm much more partial to solved cases. I particularly enjoy when you bounce the narration back and forth between the killer and the victims. Yorkshire Ripper and Peter Falconio being two examples.

I enjoy both. I really like the depths that can be delved into with knowing who the offender/s of a crime may be. I also like how mysterious an unsolved case is too.

I used to only like the solved ones, cos it'd freak me out knowing there were murderers on the loose, but I think the unsolved ones can be more powerful in terms of keeping the story out there for the families. Both are great, and you all are doing such a great job :)

I guess I'm with the majority here in that I prefer the solved ones. I'm not the kind of person who sees an unsolved case as a personal challenge (to go and seek out clues myself) so for me unsolved ones are just frustrating. That said I think you've done a great job with some older unsolved cases (like Somerton man) where you've separated fact from folklore (I grew up in Adelaide so know lots of made up stuff about this case). I'd be really curious to see what you'd make of perhaps the best known unsolved case from Adelaide, the disappearance of the Beaumont children in 1966.

I'm very happy to be your listener. As for the question, I would like a mix of both to keep it interesting. That way we get a sense of closure while also getting to know about some of the unsolved cases not commonly spoken about.

I do enjoy resolution but also there have been some great mysteries like the Somerton man (even went to see his grave when in Adelaide last month!)

I enjoy a mix of both. Unsolved cases have that suspense element... But solved cases show where the Criminal Justice system succeeds or even fails (Wetterling Case an example of the latter). It is also good to be reminded sometimes that the cops do catch the perps and Boogeymen aren't hiding around every bush.

I feel the same Noelle. Unsolved cases leave me much more melancholy, because there was no resolution, but I enjoy the story telling no matter what.

I do enjoy both, but I also like resolution. I've always enjoyed getting to the end and finding out "whodunit" over getting to the end and having no answers. Closure is nice when possible.
