Case 67: The Battle of Alcatraz
🕑 Added 2017-11-18 16:16:04 +0000 UTCIn the 1940s, Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary in the San Francisco Bay was a state-of-the-art facility. Deemed to be completely escape-proof, convicts from all over the United States who were regarded as dangerous and incapable of rehabilitation were often transferred to the gloomy island prison.
Despite its reputation, on May 2, 1946, several armed inmates embarked on a plan to break free from Alcatraz. Their mission would have deadly consequences.

Fantastic episode. Even though I knew the outcome, I didn't know much about what led up to it, what happened during, nor the aftermath. I wonder what those men would have done had they escaped without a hitch. Running off to Mexico would have still been a viable option at that point, I guess.
