Thanks Karen I will give it a listen :)

And why I cannot support a death penalty. Something like 10% of death row prisoners have been exonerated via DNA. So if you support DP, you are saying you are happy to kill (at least) one innocent man for every 9 bad guys. That is monstrous.
Karen S
Emily, check out The Apex & The Abyss. She just released an episode on Columbine and it’s excellent.
Casefile True Crime
If there are no other questions I best be getting back to the script I’m working on 👍 Thank you for joining me everyone. We thank you very much for your support here on Patreon. It is deeply appreciated.
Casefile True Crime
Thank you very much Mikki. Much appreciated. You too 👍
Casefile True Crime
Thanks Adam. You too.
Mikki
Thank you so much for all of your hard work. You really make this podcast one in a billion. Know that we, as fans, appreciate all of your hard work and are so thrilled you’ve made this a more permanent gig. Enjoy your night!
Casefile True Crime
*Proved he was innocent FFS
Casefile True Crime
Yep. That was criminal the way they manipulated that evidence. The evidence proved he was in Covent FFS. But what they revealed in court only added weight to him being guilty. So wrong.
Nick P
That's what makes the Molseed/Kiszko case so amazing; I think even people who fervently believe in the Blackstone maxim would have still convicted Kiszko knowing only what was provided at the first trial.
Casefile True Crime
I can only say that’s a possibility at this stage. No immediate plans.
Adam Murphy
Cheers brother. Have a good week. Tall to ya next time
Casefile True Crime
And not rely on assumptions. And stereotypes. Etc etc.
Mariya Cassin
Thank you.
Casefile True Crime
The idea of an innocent person being in jail makes me ill. That’s why it important to really ensure there is enough evidence to convict beyond a reasonable doubt. And not rely on maybes and probables and flimsy evidence.
Mikki
I think I’ve asked this before but have you ever debated doing a story on Victoria Stafford from Woodstock Ontario Canada? I’ve seen a few podcasts done on it, but they can’t quite pull off the same respect you bring to a case. And it’s so tragic it makes the other shows impossible to listen to
Casefile True Crime
Hi Amanda. Possibly. Would just be a matter of finding the right format/the right idea.
Nick P
There's an old legal maxim from Sir William Blackstone: "It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer". Do you believe this to be true?
Casefile True Crime
I’ve got nothing. I don’t know that there will be any worth getting.
Amanda Gearhart
have you ever thought about doing a non traditional type tour? Instead of you revealing your identity when reading the stories, have pre-selected fans read from a story you write? Or perform behind a screen like dj shadow haha Just a passing thought... could be cool.
Casefile True Crime
Hi Noreen. I hope it’s not too bad
Casefile True Crime
It was good to record something off the cuff without a script and just go with it. That is an exact snap shot of how I felt when the news broke. Such an amazing development 👍
Casefile True Crime
Hi Mikki. Nope we are still here 🍾
Casefile True Crime
I just prefer it that way. I Never wanted the show to be about a host figure or personality. Just wanted the stories to be the focus.
Adam Murphy
Any hot tips on some cash cows??
Noreen Naroo Pucci
Justing saying hi - we are watching the news with flash flooding in MD USA
Casefile True Crime
Also one that appears on our possibles list!
Casefile True Crime
That could be a possibility. Wouldn’t rule it out.
Mikki
Your response to the arrest of the EAR/ONS was absolutely hilarious. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve listened to the first minute of that episode. Thank you for keeping it so light hearted.
Mikki
I really hope I’m not too late to the party! Hello from Ontario Canada!
Casefile True Crime
Thank you Ryan
Emcogo
Sorry if this has been asked before! But how come you choose to remain anonymous? Personally I am a fan of the idea as it brings extra mystery to the podcast :) but at the same time it would be awesome to know who you are
Casefile True Crime
Will be back next week Laura 👍
Sarah Lennon
I think that’s right about soccer participation because lots of kids start off in soccer before going to AFL, Rugby, Touch Football or staying in Soccer.
Casefile True Crime
I have both as well. I’m thinking of punting Jake for the origin period. I am sensing reduced minutes.
Casefile True Crime
Your safe with Cherry I reckon. The Turbo brothers are a sure thing selection though I think
Rachel Franzen
Additionally, Israel Keyes is another fascinating perpetrator. I live in Alaska and the FBI just released new taped interviews.
Rachel Franzen
Is there any possibility of doing a deep dive into Jodi Arias? I’ve not heard a great podcast on that case yet. I think that you guys did a great job of diving into EAR/ONS and I think it would be great. There’s a lot more to the relationship of Travis Alexander and Jodi that really seems to have been unexplored or that has been covered with lots of contradiction.
Casefile True Crime
We would consider cobering that one day. Yes
Casefile True Crime
That is a tough one. Smarter minds then mine would have to debate that!
Casefile True Crime
Hi Nick. Personally I don’t enjoy the game of soccer at all. Too much diving. BUT when it’s World Cup year - I love nothing more then jumping on that bandwagon!! So yeah I am looking forward to the cup. As far as where it ranks. In terms of commercial coverage - AUstralian rules football and rugby league are the two biggest sports here by far in the winter. Then cricket in the summer. But I have a feeling soccer might have the largest participation rate - don’t quote me on that though.
Ryan Beattie
Also, just want to say well done on case 84 👍
Laura Carlson
Seems I may have missed out. This is usually when I listen to Casefile, late on a Sunday, driving. I’m really missing you this week. Cheers! 💕
Casefile True Crime
Hi Ben. The ads you hear during the show is what made that possible. This is something I’d like to do more of - get on the ground and conduct face to face interviews. Actually see the locations. Maybe in the future.
Amanda Gearhart
Haven’t actually read that one yet. I bought I’ll be gone in the dark two hours before I got the news they had him in custody. It’s super good, 10/10 recommend.
Emcogo
Have you guys considered covering Stephanie Scott’s case?
Casefile True Crime
That’s the one that stands out
Casefile True Crime
I thought Helter Skeltor was pretty good.
Scott goodwyn
Book Fatal Vision by Joe Mcginniss covers the controversy.
Casefile True Crime
Hi!
Casefile True Crime
Generally we don’t cover anything that has a trial pending. Once the trial is sorted - good To go.
Ryan Beattie
Would you be for everyone’s DNA being held on a data base? Would solve a shit load of crimes over night and act as a deterrent for future crimes.
Casefile True Crime
Hi Mariya. They have been. It was essentially an open finding. Unable to determine if they are deceased or still alive.
Ben O'Connell
Ahoy from Sunny England and congrats on going full time with Casefile! You've mentioned before that yourself and/or producers have flown overseas to conduct interviews and research which shows excellent dedication. Who or what subsidies these trips if you don't mind me asking?
Nick P
Are you excited about the Socceroos next month? Where does soccer/football rank in the Aussie sports scene?
Casefile True Crime
Hi Scott. That one doesn’t ring a bell off the top of my head
Amanda Gearhart
Favorite true crime book?
Casefile True Crime
Haha thanks Amanda.
Casefile True Crime
Hi Katherine I haven’t been following that one.
Laura Carlson
Hi!!! :)
Monica Hanns
How long do you have to wait before you can cover a case? Do you ever see current cases come up in the news and think that it looks like an important/fascinating case to cover for Casefile?
Casefile True Crime
Hi Emily. Was that’s a possibility. Nothing in the immediate plans, but certainly possible in the future.
Adam Murphy
I'm fucked if Tom & Jake and Cherry get selected. There goes my core.
Casefile True Crime
Hi Kim 👋
Casefile True Crime
It’s more recent.
Casefile True Crime
And the trusty old guitar and amp too - to go along with the posters. Can’t forget that.
Casefile True Crime
Haha that’s a good one. I’d replace my current spare room with my room when I was a teenager. Punk rock posters everywhere. Great memories 👌
Casefile True Crime
Yeah I’ve only got about 10 playing this week. I didn’t start with Smith this year and that worked out for me. I’ll bring him in next week. I brought Crichton in last week as I didn’t think he would get picked for origin. Looks like he is now. Spewing. I’m going to be short.
Mariya Cassin
Good morning. Have the results of the McDougall/Popic inquest been made public?
Scott goodwyn
Ever consider covering the Jeffrey Macdonald case?
Casefile True Crime
Morning Emily. Thank you
Casefile True Crime
I only listened to that song. We actually tried to secure licensing to use the song at the end. Never got off the ground though.
Adam Murphy
Are you gonna make many changes throughout origin? Stoked Smith isn't playing. He should keep the points rolling in for me.
Amanda Gearhart
Paul Holes is saint.
Casefile True Crime
It was actually through Paul we covered the Eric Coy case, after we spoke to him for our EARONS series. Haven’t spoken to him since the arrest though - I think he would be far to busy at the moment!!
Casefile True Crime
Around 1150 odd at the moment. Not too bad considering Fifita was a late out and I had to scramble for a replacement
Amanda Gearhart
I just wanted to say that I love the podcast and I appreciate your in depth descriptions and research. I can’t listen to this podcast when my boyfriend is around though because every time he annoyingly says “razor blades” with an awful Aussie accent. We’re Americans.. I’m sorry hahaha
Katharine
Are you following the Larrimah (Northern Territory) case? Missing person Paddy Moriarty with the suspect being one of the other 11 residents of Larrimah.
Emcogo
My question was around if you would look into doing more cases on shootings in the US? I haven’t come across one on columbine but it would be interesting to listen to
Kim Talbot
Just dropping by to say hellllllooo to everyone 👋
Nick P
Any hints as to the episodes coming in June?
Krysta Bonneville
I heard this question asked to someone before and it's become a favorite! If you could replace a room in your current home with one from your childhood, which one would it be and why? The room would be exactly the same as it was back then :)
Emcogo
Morning!! Absolutely love your podcast. It actually makes me look forward to the Monday morning commute to work.
Jake Walker
How much Bay City Rollers did you listen to during researching the Lesley Molseed case?
Adam Murphy
Cruisy. I had Dufty as captain so super coach should be pretty healthy this week! How's your team looking?
chris yun
i realized you spoke with paul holes during the eric coy case--have you been communicating re: ear/ons?
Casefile True Crime
Too Hard to pinpoint one. All of them in their own way.
Alex Chesters
What case was the most interesting to research?
Casefile True Crime
Good thanks Adam. Yourself?
Adam Murphy
Morning bro. How was ya weekend?
Casefile True Crime
Hello everyone
