Case 94: Millie & Trevor Horn, Janice Saunders
🕑 Added 2018-08-31 17:56:32 +0000 UTCOn the morning of March 3 1993, Vivian Rice pulled up outside the Silver Spring home of her sister, Millie Horn, and immediately noticed that something was wrong. The garage door was wide open and Millie’s minivan was nowhere to be seen. After cautiously entering the house, Vivian discovered the slain bodies of Millie, her eight-year-old quadriplegic son Trevor, and Trevor’s nurse Janice Saunders.

That poor boy, he could do nothing to fight back. This one broke my heart. I'm glad you guys covered this story. I'm glad I know who Trevor Horn is.

When we saw this comment we reviewed it - and we actually agreed with you. It has been changed. Thank you Alan.

I typically love the music and feel it's not too loud or quiet, and does add to the episode, but just this one piece was just so out of place with the jazz tones totally took me out of it.
Casefile True Crime
Thanks for the feedback, we've replaced it now in both places.

Excellent episode. Often we here cases where law enforcement and courts make a lot of mistakes, so it was good to hear one where they did everything right. From the investigation, to the lawyers, to the judge, everything was meticulously well done. Especially loved that detail at the end about the artist. Brilliant

Yeah I didn't notice the first instance mentioned, but the 54 min mark is a bit distracting. Listening on earphones so I guess that makes the difference?

Hi Megan, we always had bespoke music in the background all the way through, since episode one. The episodes are mixed for headphones though so listening on laptop speakers or in the car wouldn't reveal all of it.

Thanks for the feedback Alan, we'll look into it.

I've only listened to half an hour so far, but Casey's voice is particularly menacing this episode.

Sick. Nice one guys.

God, this is a sad and terrible. Brilliant episode. Thank you for bringing us this story 🧡

I hope they don’t start to put too much music into their episodes. I really love Casefile, but the music in the background of podcasts absolutely drives me mental. Some different pods have it the whole way through and I can’t listen.

Guys - love the episode but please don’t have that music again that played from about the 12-16 minute mark and 54 minute mark. It distracted me and was irritating beyond belief

This one is in my neck of the woods! You know, it happened when I was in 10th grade but I don't remember ever hearing about this..... I love the way you pronounce the state. We say it in a lazy way, here🤣

Amazing work once again <3 Thought provoking as well, given the current true crime trend and possible (unintended) instructions being all over the place as a consequence.

I was wondering if the ep would be early this week! Thanks so much, legends 🧡

Oh, well, I won’t complain. 😂

There were some last minute changes hence only a day early:)

Awesome! Thank you for the early release. I’ve got my weekly long drive today and this is right on time. 💗
