MISSED IT
Christina Dickenson
I’m so excited about the Portland visit! I’ve turned so many people onto S&S!! You have a lot of fans here!!! 😁
Jennifer Murphy
Thanks for answering our questions!💕
Casefile True Crime
Thank you for joining me today. It was a pleasure talking to you all as always. Have a great day/night. See you next time.
Casefile True Crime
Thank you Jason
Laura Carlson
Will do. 😂
Jason Van Berkel
Great work with the podcasts! I find listening to them on night shift while walking around a semi-dark and eerie power plant/ turbine room gives extra level. Thanks!!
Casefile True Crime
If there’s no other questions we will wrap it up?
Red Sonja's mate
What other interests/hobbies do you enjoy?
Casefile True Crime
Thank you very much Steve.
Casefile True Crime
Wouldn’t want to meet any. But I’d happily meet any of them if there was a chance they would give up info of any kind. But that wouldn’t happen.
Steve Jablonsky
I don't really have a question. Just wanted to say brilliant work. Episode 100 is an amazing piece of podcasting. Riveting and emotional, but then again that describes all of your episodes. Very much looking forward to the next 100.
Amy
If you could meet with any of the offenders you’ve featured, who would it be? If any?
Emma Baillargeon
Awesome! I’ll submit the case. Vinyl is SO good. Big Smoke had a lead singer that apparently was getting some buzz in the Australian indie scene. The lead singer was diagnosed with throat cancer and the whole band quit their full time jobs so they could be ready to record whenever he felt well enough. They were able to secure the producer of the Alabama Shakes to come mix the album. It was pressed exclusively through “vinyl me please” and that’s how I got ahold of it. It’s actually really good stuff and worth a listen if you’re into that music (or even just nerdy vinyl) ! Cheers and keep up the good work, I’ve been listening since the beginning!
Casefile True Crime
The departed for sure. Pulp ficiton. Maybe seven for a third. Big fan of Tarantino movies.
Casefile True Crime
Ohhhh good question. Yeah that would probably worth it.
Red Sonja's mate
Who is your favorite movie director or top 3? Top 3 fav crime movies?
Jennifer Murphy
You've been asked this one before but I'm adding a twist. If you had the opportunity to meet/hang out with Joe Rogan and do his podcast (because you ARE interesting enough) but the catch was that you'd have to give up your anonymity...would you do it?
Casefile True Crime
Hi Hanne. We absolutely could in the future. Best place is to fire an email off to submitacase@casefilepodcast.com
Casefile True Crime
This case isn’t ringing any bells sorry.
Joel Seemo
Awesome! Can't wait!
Casefile True Crime
Oh and Hi Joel. Sorry.
Casefile True Crime
Yes. That’s a possibility.
Tony Palma
Im sorry, to clarify since the alleged suspect was a cop was he there as law enforcement?
Hanne Van Hirtum
Hey Casey! Any plans to do an episode on one of the Belgian serial killers? Marc Dutroux? Or the unsolved murder of Katrien De Cuypere? I knew her family, but the killer wasn’t found.
Casefile True Crime
1. Yep absolutely. Beat place to suggest is to send an email to submitacase@casefilepodcast.com 2. We don’t really have criteria or formula for this. If we think it’s relevant and add something we include it. If not then we don’t. It depends on a case by case basis. 3. I have not. What style of music are they? And how good is vinyl!
Amy
Oooo! I have another one! Have you looked in to the Laci Peterson Case? Do you have an opinion as to whether Scott is actually guilty or not?
Joel Seemo
Hey Casey! Any plans to cover Ivan milat in the future?
Casefile True Crime
No worries at all!
Casefile True Crime
Get extra pineapple. Go on..
Amy
I can’t wait to see how it pans out! I was only a kid when this all went down, but I remember it so well! WAPOL did an amazing job finding the suspect!
Casefile True Crime
I would imagine so yes. Give a more complete account. Could be some time before it is finalised though.
Laura Carlson
Thanks Casey! I’m having pizza tonight so that’s what made me think of it. I’m in the no pineapple camp but I’d forgive you most things. 😂 I love the Ramones and the Clash. The Ramones are always great for a good laugh.
Casefile True Crime
Haha thank you Jennifer. Yep I’m all for it. Hopefully Australia follows!
Casefile True Crime
That is a great question. I’m not sure if this has been confirmed yet if it was the alleged suspect. I’m not sure they’ll be able to confirm. It has long been suspected the offender was present though and that’s why the couple were attacked.
Casefile True Crime
Hi Amy. Thank you very much. Sorry for the uncomfortable walks at night. Yep so we have passed on a few when we have found them to be too extreme graphic wise. And there was nothing else going on. Like an interesting investigation for example, or it’s unsolved.
Laura Carlson
Great question!
Amy
Also, will you cover the Claremont Serial Killer once it’s all finished in court?
Jennifer Murphy
Have you heard that weed has been fully legalized in Canada? What's your opinion on that? I never thought I'd see this day in my lifetime...my country is awesome!! If ever you find yourself travelling here, I've got you covered mate! Haha
Tony Palma
In the East Area Rapist podcast, there was a town hall where a guy got up and proclaimed that he and his wife would never get attacked. Then they were attacked. Was it ever confirmed if he was there or just a coincidence?
Casefile True Crime
Very well Laura thank you. How are you? 1. Absolutely. And I’m totally fine with pineapple! 2. Never really go into them. Or the sex pistols or the clash or any of the other ‘pioneers’. I know your supposed to if your into punk. But for me it was the 90’s skate punk scene that hooked me (and still has me hooked). So it’s nofx, bad religion, lagwagon, no use for a name, good riddance etc etc etc that are my ‘pioneers’. But I most definitely respect this earlier bands. Without them we might not have the others I just mentioned.
Amy
Hey Casey! Awesome work, so glad you decided to give podcasting a go! Not gonna lie, I listen while I load trains, and then completely sh&t myself walking to the loco as it’s generally the middle of the night! Anyway, are there any cases you will not cover? Anything you’ve found that too much?
Tony Palma
East Area Rapist question.
Laura Carlson
Hi Casey! How are you this morning? 1. Do you like pizza (pineapple or no?) 2. Since you like punk, do you like the Ramones? Idk if you think of them as punk. Love the show! 😂 you already know that. Have a great week off!
Casefile True Crime
Thank you John. Much appreciated!
Casefile True Crime
Thank you Rhiannon.
John
Hello Casefile team. I offer a big congratulations on your 100 episode landmark. Keep up the great work. You should be proud!
Casefile True Crime
Haha!
Ree Jones
Thank you for answering that question. I have to say I love your podcast because it is always respectful and does not go into too many details as some others do. More about the story than the shock, thank you for that.
Neil A.
Oh shit my apologies lol. Didn’t realize. No worries keep up the good work
Casefile True Crime
Very sorry to hear about your loss Nora. Thank you for your kind words. I’ve always been somewhat alert with things like that. So the podcast hasn’t really changed anything. Possibly just reinforced it.
Jess Miller Chiller
Haha that's amazing!
Casefile True Crime
Albert Fish - possibly. No immediate plans. But possible.
Casefile True Crime
I can confirm this has happened. Family too.
Sydney Brazeau
I enjoy the fact that Casefile uses media/police recordings sparingly
Casefile True Crime
Absolutely. Most of them. Some weigh heavier then others. My step away is usually some sort of ridiculous workout/training regime/run etc.
Ben Jones
Okay so not CH, we're working through a slow process of elimination here.
Casefile True Crime
Hi Ben. I can confirm exclusively here on Patreon.....I am not Chris Hemsworth! Possibly to both those. No immediate plans. But possibly.
Jason Van Berkel
My bad, thanks I'll check it out.
Emma Baillargeon
1. Do you take suggestions for cases that might be worthwhile to cover? There is an interesting serial killer case unfolding in my area & it has gotten a bit of buzz, I would love to hear your narration of it! 2. Is there a reason you included less audio of recoded media surrounding the case? (Such as police interviews or press conferences) ...Sort of a silly question about music: 3. Have you heard of the band Big Smoke and their album “Time is Golden?” They are Australian and I ended up with their vinyl, wasn’t sure if it was actually popular in Australia!
Jonathan D
Cheers for replying! Keep up the amazing work, you and the Casefile team always knock it out of the park.
Casefile True Crime
Hi Jason. Yep we covered in full in case 46.
Casefile True Crime
Thank you for the recommendations to friends as well. Much appreciated. It’s a big reason of why we were able to grow. Word of mouth is so powerful!
Casefile True Crime
Hi Neil. Thank you for listening. I can’t get into background stuff if myself unfortunately. It’s a rule of the AMAs 😬
Casefile True Crime
Yep you are correct Jonathon. No not at this stage. No plans. In the future - who knows.
Nora Charles
Thank you so much for honoring the victims. My parents were murdered by a meth head. Your podcast means a lot to me. Has your job influenced your life? Situational awareness, making sure your home is secure?
Casefile True Crime
Hi Brandon. Unsolved cases for mine
Casefile True Crime
Good morning Melanie.
Casefile True Crime
Hi Katya. Working with such a talented and awesome team of people.
Casefile True Crime
Good evening Emma
Jonathan D
It was deleted due to legal issues, from what I can gather.
Casefile True Crime
Hi Kristen. We don’t have it here in Australia. And never have in my life time. So I’ve never given it any in depth thought really. Complex question.
Jess Miller Chiller
Do you have mates that listen to Casefile and have no idea it's you? Will you ever cover Albert Fish?
Vicky London
I didn't even realise it was missing. What happened with it?
Neil A.
Second this question
Ree Jones
Do the cases ever make you feel sad and feel like you need to step back for a while? I sometimes need a break from True Crime even though I find the stories compelling because it feels so sad and horrible.
Ben Jones
Two questions mate. Are you Chris Hemsworth? Are you going to cover Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy?
Jason Van Berkel
I've listened to an update podcast on the Tynong North serial killer in Victoria. Unsure if you've done a full podcast on this unsolved case. If not, is this a case you'd look in to? Pretty sure the police have a pretty good suspect, but can't charge him due to lack of evidence.
Neil A.
Hey Casey. Love the pod. Only one I listen to religiously every week. I’m always recommending it to all my friends. Also my questions are where in Australia are you based? I’m guessing Sydney. Also do you have any law enforcement background? This was mine and my wife’s theory for the longest while but I’m starting to doubt it now... Anyways keep up the good work.
Jess Miller Chiller
Yes!! You would sell out guaranteed! We all love your podcast so much!
Jonathan D
Do you think Case 55 (Simone Strobel) will ever be re-released? It's the only case I've never heard. Maybe a Patreon exclusive re-release?
Casefile True Crime
That’s possible! Definitely would be in Australia first I would Imigine and if it happened of course Melbourne would be included!
Jess Miller Chiller
Im glad to hear it! I'm great thank you!
Casefile True Crime
Good morning Rhiannon.
Casefile True Crime
Morning Laini. I’d struggle to name a favourite. All of them.
bean
not sure if this has been asked before, but what *kind* of cases do you find most compelling? unsolved mysteries like the beaumont children, or more explicit cases like the toy box killer where we already know what happened? or the more historical stuff like silk road?
Casefile True Crime
It is one I would like too. Don’t think it would be possible unless we took an extended break to dive through the mountain of info and police files available. It has been well covered at this point already too....so not sure.
Melanie G.
Morning anon!
Katya Sobotnik
Morning Casey, what’s your favourite thing about working on casefile?
Emma Baillargeon
Good evening from NH, USA!
Kristen Calhoun
Hi! You may have answered this in a prior AMA but what are your thoughts on the death penalty?
Casefile True Crime
Very well thank you Jess. How are you?
Casefile True Crime
Hi Sarah
Jess Miller Chiller
Is there a chance you would do a live show, even anonymously (think daft punk) :) And if so, can it be in Australia first - Melb ;) Love the poddy!
Ree Jones
Good morning!
Laini McGorman
Morning Casey! I know it’s probably been asked a million times but what has been your favourite case to cover?
Sarah McRae
Will you guys potentially cover the Devil’s Knot Case in the future?
Jess Miller Chiller
How are doing Casey?
Sarah McRae
Hi Casey!
Casefile True Crime
Hello everyone!
