Thank you for the overwhelming response! Just to clarify, we most definitely are not leaving patreon. Everything will remain as is on patreon. All of the bonus content will stay here, and the new content will be uploaded here. It will just also be available elsewhere - at the same price point. So no difference to patreon at all.

As long as content is still available on Patreon for full access, I see no reason why you couldn't use another platform to share your work.

I don't belong to many other social media platforms. As long as I can still access everything on Patreon, I have no problems with the premiums being offered to our fellow Patreon members on other platforms to make it easier for you and for them to listen to Casefile.

You do whatever you want to do - as long as it doesn't have any effect on what current Patreons get, then it is no one else's business but yours :) Unless it slows down how often you release stuff, then I might have a problem, I need way more already!! :D But, no, no ones business but your own and you will never make everyone happy. There will always be someone upset no matter what you do or how you do it. If you try cater to every single person, it will just bring you down when you realise you can't, so go on and spread what you do and how you want to do it. The majority couldn't care less, you need the support, not just the fans, but the monetary side. As is I would bet you are out of pocket when you take into account the many, many hours you spend researching then recording then marketing. You need to do what you need to do without worrying about a small minority. If it was a majority you were upsetting - different story because then you'll lose the income you require to keep your amazing podcast going - but it's a very small minority and having this available elsewhere, for the exact same price, exact same features does not disadvantage a single person :) I think it is a fantastic step in the right direction for your podcast! The more followers - the more money - the more you can do with it :)

Why would I care if Casefile is offered at another platform? I don’t even think my opinion should matter. I am a supporter not an owner. This is Casefile’s decision. Anyways Casefile keep up the good work and do what you need to do!

Sounds good to me as long as we still get the early release episodes here on Patreon. My only thing would be it might be a bit confusing if there are two places to sign up to support the show. Plus if it does not work out with the other premium provider then you may lose some supporters who signed up with that other service. Seems to me to be better to keep all support in one place - but if it means more cash for the show - go for it!

I'll continue to donate no matter what, but from your standpoint I feel like wouldn't it be confusing if there were two different sits you take donations at? If your working to migrate off Patreon I would support that 100% but I feel like it maybe hard for you to take donations in two different sites for bonus content. Whatever you decide though, is cool with me.

Nothing will change at all. Patreon will remain. Apple podcasts and all the other players will remain the same. The bonus content we release here will just be available on another platform - also behind a paywall as it is here at Patreon. It’s just opening up the bonus content to another platform.

I just have one question: are you asking whether we should switch from being able to listen to your RSS feed on iTunes etc to another platform, or will this platform be in addition to iTunes? Or are you just talking about making a new account on some other croundfunding site, in addition to Patreon?

Another pod i support was on stitcher premium, I signed up, it was clunky as fuck, now they’re moving to patreon. Just keep it simple, please.

Would we be able to download the episodes early on the other platform? I hate having to stream it from safari on my phone as it takes up a chunk of my data and often loses my place. I’d much rather be able to download to my phone!
