Patreon removing the go live feature
🕑 Added 2019-01-16 20:43:03 +0000 UTCJust got some bad news. Patreon are removing the go live feature, which is what we use to do the live typed AMA's here on patreon with the host.
We will look for suitable alternatives, if any of you have suggestions, let us know in the comments.

Hi Roxy, Patreon removed the go live feature we used for typed AMAs. But we will come up with a solution to keep doing them. As a $5 patron, you'll still get the monthly recorded AMA's. There will be no change to those. They are released as audio files, like the episodes.

Another podcast only allows people in their Facebook group who are Patreon contributors. However,I’m not sure how easy it is to distinguish who is a patron or not. I think they gave out a code for Patreon supporters only. I’m so sad about this but I’m sure there is another way.

You can make an exclusive Subreddit and then do the AMA in that for sure

Did Patreon give an acceptable reason? Isn’t a “live ama” a perk for membership? Seems like BS to me.

A lot of communities use Discord, which is integrated with Patreon, but I'm not too familiar with it.

I agree with the reddit option. Could even make your own Subreddit for the show.
