Same I was like “wait a minute this sounds familiar....” then I realized it was a Canadian case and Kristy must have covered it (which as you say and I also realized she did). Both episodes are worth a listen imo. It’s a creepy case.

For me it was a bit of a weird episode as not long ago listened to Canadian True Crime do it. Kristy and Casey. I can not rank the two. Big fan of both. I would prefer a joint episode next time please. One off.

This is the first Casefile non-continuing episode (i.e. Silk Road, EAR/ONS) where I knew the case, but from a different perspective. When I first heard about it, Gilles was one of the focused survivors on an episode of "I Survived" on Biography channel (now A&E). This was like 7 years ago and it stuck with me ever since. I've tried finding the episode but little is documented of it. Anyway, great episode!

I recently watched the episode of 'The Case That Haunts Me' about this, which I would recommend (it's on Hulu) as it has interviews with the detectives that worked the case. This was a very interesting episode of Casefile though! Good job Casefile team!
