I’m embarrassed to say as an Aussie an casefile obsessed listener 😆 I had never heard of this case until I heard the podcast. Which just shows us how many cases out there like this there are that no one knows about. Casey and the team - well done on such a great job. And as fellow Paterons have said, it was done in such a very dignified manner. One of my best friends was murdered by her boyfriend 12 years ago (he was caught and charged etc). However she was not a typical victim, she was actually in the police force and trained to defend as such which was the worst shock to us all that knew her 😓 I think that’s why I have always believed you just never know what happens/happening behind closed doors.

Really impressed with the maturity and compassion demonstrated in this one. Casefile are setting a high standard for the true crime podcast genre. Bit proud as an Aussie really that we have podcasters of this calibre contributing to the genre. Your team should be proud AF.

Of all the horrible shit I’ve listened to in my True Crime obsession, for some reason this one hit me the hardest. I just couldn’t mentally handle YET ANOTHER weak, insecure, horrible baby of a “man” taking the life of the person he is supposed to love. So fucking sick of it 😩

This was such a tragic but beautiful & sincerely written episode. Domestic violence is a plague and I applaud Casefile for using the final portion of the episode to offer insight for those affected by it. Definitely teared up a bit.

First of all, loved the episode (as always). Just wanted to get on and say that as someone who works for the department of Child Safety in Queensland that I was so happy to hear you covering such an important topic that I see on a daily basis. We need to keep spreading awareness and making sure we speak up about this issue for the victims and the children who are impacted much more than people realise. It's truly heartbreaking! Thanks Casefile team! Good to hear another Queensland episode too. Go the Maroons 😜

There is not a Casefile episode that I have not listened to, so I can say by far this one was superb. Huge props to our Anonymous host for delivering this very important and yet sensative message in the manner in which he did. Everybody recognizes physical abuse but so many don't recognize the other forms of abuse that you have brought to their attention. Extremely well-done Casefile, thank you!

Fantastic episode. My mother-in-law was severely abused by my husband’s father. She got out in the mid-80s and is still traumatized, both mentally and physically. I have no doubt things would have ended the same way for her.
