Case 124: Hinterkaifeck
🕑 Added 2019-09-07 07:48:14 +0000 UTCThe small rural property of Hinterkaifeck lay approximately 70 kilometres north of the German city of Munich. Set against Bavaria’s flat, sweeping farmlands, meadows, and pine forests, the acreage earned its unofficial name from a nearby hamlet called Kaifeck, with ‘hinter’ being German for ‘behind’.

So well done, thank you! I appreciated how y'all cleared up some common misconceptions and presented the facts. That's why I love Casefile so much.

Very good Casey and team - also the music was especially great this episode! Would love that main background track as a separate MP3 or something!

Oh, wow. I’d never read more than a couple short paragraphs on this one. So interesting and horrifying.

Can someone give me the RSS link so I can copy into my Apple podcast ? I am new at this and I did it once with another Patreon podcast but now I forget. Any help a girl out?

Best episode in recent memory

Agree Maya! Although, I feel certain it was not on purpose. It sounds like that’s how it was referenced in the sourced material. Given that SHE was prosecuted for incest I’m guessing what was written about her at the time did not portray her as a victim. Too bad though. I feel for her and the rest of the family.

I had never heard this before. I think the father had it coming. He would have been going after the little girl next. Too bad about the rest of the family. It sounds like one living hell. Thank you for always doing such a great job

Agreed. There can’t be a ‘relationship’ when one party doesn’t have the capacity to enter into it willingly. Even if she chose to be in it, her choices are affected by the stage of development her brain is in and the environment/culture she is surrounded by

This was a great episode 👌👌👌 How bizarre!! And so sad the baby and maid was made a victim too.

This was soooo good!! I am a little weirded out by the references to Andreas and Victoria’s “relationship” though, as it seems pretty clear that it was sexual abuse :/

What an incredible episode!! This case has always been one of my favorites (horrible thing to say) mainly due to how it has always intrigued and frightened me, on such a weird and deep level. This episode delivered on those longtime feelings, 100%. Sitting in a dark office, alone in my cubicle, with Mike’s insanity playing under Casey’s particularly unnerving delivery, really freaked the fuck outta me, this morning. Hate being alone on weekends. Haha! I love it!! Thank you so much!! Probably my new favorite episode. ❤️❤️
