Sales tax to be added to some pledges
🕑 Added 2020-05-20 23:08:48 +0000 UTCHello all, Patreon have announced that they will be adding sales tax to more patron pledges starting on July 1st 2020. This won't affect everyone. It will effect 36 states in the US and 17 other countries, including Australia. It is a requirement by law.
In short, a $5 pledge could become a $5.50 pledge (depending on the % of tax being applied, which is different depending on what part of the world you are from).
