Hi Abhi. We were aware of both going in, however we weren't sure how we would be presenting them. Ultimately we decided to release Steven as a stand alone episode and give some space before we released the Yosemite sightseer murders episode.

Both of these cases are very well known as a single tragedy, more or less, in the true crime community, so it's likely the plan was always to cover them together.
