Loved this!!! Thanks team ❤️

Jason Colombo, me too! It’s all so completely bizarre and the thought that someone would go to those lengths to do those things to themselves creeps me out so much!

Right? You beat me to it, but I totally got a Cindy James vibe from this. For some reason, these episodes/topics freak me out way more than serial killers.

My comment is feedback just as yours are...On case 165 I commented the following as feedback.. "This and the one before are SO GOOD! They're just like the ones from the beginning of case file. Did you guys get a new writer or something? These are so engaging and interesting!! Thank you!!! So glad I stuck with case file even though they were getting a bit ordinary." Can't be all butterflies and rainbows..

Great episode, reminded me of Cindy James, one of your best episodes ever and one I’ve listened to more than once. Thanks guys.

@AR - You need to relax. Natalia is as entitled to her opinion as anyone else here. She obviously likes and appreciates the show enough to be a Patreon supporter. I think Casey and the team are professional and thick-skinned enough to realise that not everyone is going to rate every single episode 10/10. Being open to criticism is how podcasts grow and improve and we, as Patreon supporters, are asked for our opinions all the time. It is concerning that there seems to be a growing trend where podcasters are treated like mythological superhumans who can do no wrong and must be blindly worshipped or else face the wrath of the superfan. You can enjoy, support and respect something whilst also holding true to your own tastes and opinions about episodes. I remember a time when it seemed like Casefile had lost the plot - episode after episode was just missing something or was off for a good few months. That didn’t stop me from continuing to support them on Patreon. They aren’t perfect and that’s okay.

*Spoiler* Nice change of pace this one! I also feel a sense of relief when I go through a Casefile episode and no-one dies 🤣

Very interesting. JoAnne very happy to ruin another innocent woman’s life, all for sympathy/attention.

Leonard Pollard

It’s stunning that case file keeps framing polygraphs, no matter how modern, as credible. Polygraphs are bunk and this is unethical

Maya George

Jesus lol

You do understand this is the bonus episode, right? Voted on and produced specifically for Patreon subscribers? It's not designed to be an hour-long twist-filled epic. It was instead a half-hour long twist-filled epic. No insurance company would give you a check for your damage.

You must be fun at parties

I was almost sold that it was Paula until like halfway through the episode, then it just seemed almost like it was too good to be true.

Great case!

“You really are a clueless b*tch....” 😆 I wonder why detectives didn’t check JoAnne’s typewriter? Another well-written and well-produced episode Casefile Team!!Thank you!!

Hannah Wilson

Natalia’s comment is a bit harsh! I thought it was a really interesting episode, and thanks to the team for producing it. Intriguing case!

I suppose not every single podcast episode can be brilliant. Duds have to occur to appreciate the good ones 😅.
