I retold this story basically verbatim to my partner during a long car ride, and the describing how Peter was going about his morning routine while dismissing the strange drops of blood had my partner tearing his hair out with bewilderment like I had at first listen! Such a freakish twist. Peter's body trudging through its doomed last steps, unable to call for help, was by far one of the most horrifying details I've heard in any case.

I just moved to the town in this episode in May, I had to rewind a bit to make sure that's what I heard, lol. Great episode as always.

The story of Peter waking up and doing his daily chores without realising his horrific injuries is unthinkable. The human body is so complex. I have never heard about this case and thought it was extremely well written episode. Poor Joan, the trauma she went through, but I do believe she knew her son did it but just refused to admit it out loud.

I’m curious if you are getting away from more mystery based cases (where a large portion of the show is dedicated to unraveling whodunnit) to cases that are more sensational. Obviously the two things overlap, but it seems like the cases you’ve been covering the last few months the perpetrator is found and identified early. I’m a big fan of listening to you peel the onion back layer by layer on mysteries that don’t have a easy answer.

Incredible work, once again team. The opening was the best. *spoiler* ‐---------‐- -------‐--------- -------- I was vaguely familiar with the case, but had no idea about the murder victim's critical brain injury and how he completed his morning routine before passing away. Absolutely fascinating.

What a doozy. Unbelievable. Fact is stranger than fiction. *Spoiler ahead* Great storytelling to let us believe Chris really was surprised to hear the news and then to play that unconvincing phone call. "Uh...hello...I heard my parents are dead?"

Ok the absolute weirdest thing just happened. I was binge watching Forensic Files before this and I decided to stop at the beginning of an episode to see if Casefile had a new release. As soon as I started this episode I was like "hmm where have I heard these names before??" And it turned out this is the exact forensic files episode I left off on.
