Amazing episode. Frustrating conclusion! I think Sue is guilty but don’t think there was enough evidence to prove it.

Christopher Lankford

An almost 2 hour episode! Hell yes!

Sarah X

Wow!! Well written!! Do I think Sue is guilty, absolutely I do. Beyond a reasonable doubt, I do not. Casey, how do you make swearing sound so hot 😂

I heard this case on another podcast but this was a far more detailed look at it. Sue isn't guilty imo but she is in jail because of her lies and suspicious activity. The police botched the investigation. Vass is seriously one of the most bizarre 'witnesses' in a case ever. A real mess of a story and the worst part is I honestly don't think the truth will ever come out. RIP Bob.

Vass is the most infuriating part of this case. I understand she was a scared teen at the time but for Pete's sake you're an adult now. I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that I hold the key to someone else's freedom, but simply refuse to give it up

There was a frickin dinner plate sized of DNA juice on the boat. They knew who’s DNA it was. That fact trumps any changing story an old lady weaves. It’s cases like this and so many others covered by CF that show incompetence or outright corruption of police forces around the world.

Thank you Casefile. Loved it ❤️

What an intriguing case, great job covering it Casefile team! I had a hard time deciding if I believed Sue to be guilty or not. On one hand she acted very suspiciously by changing her story multiple times, lying about innocuous details like the jacket not belonging to her, etc. On the other hand I don’t think I could’ve voted guilty if I were on the jury because so much seemed to be based on circumstantial evidence, like Sue allegedly making a comment about killing her brother a decade earlier as well as her and Bob allegedly having martial issues. Furthermore, I don’t believe the police investigated all the evidence thoroughly. The fact that DNA belonging to another person on board wasn’t treated with more suspicion, the witness who saw a man leaving in the dinghy, the hair evidence, the odd comment allegedly made by Lisa & more. Needless to say even if Sue is guilty the police botched the investigation by just honing in on her without investigating other leads more thoroughly. Perhaps they could’ve built a stronger case that proved her guilt but they got a conviction that’s been upheld all this time so I don’t think they care much.

Hi Casefile, Just wondering what you make of Tom Voight's assessment of your Zodiac Podcast? https://tinyurl.com/Tom-Voight-on-Casefile

Wow a real whodunnit! Great storytelling. Although I didn’t at first, I do believe Sue is innocent. Sad case, RIP Bob.

A rare case I had never heard of! Still don’t know what to make of it. Vass’ DNA on the boat is the most troubling aspect of this case. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ RIP, Bob, you didn’t deserve this.

Bob Trenwith

It can't be double jeopardy. That entire premise of the movie was wrong.

Kath Tee

I've always believed Sue to be innocent.

Christilee

I don’t think that Sue is guilty and yes she told many lies, but because she knew that they were going to put the blame on her. The police messed up big time! Just my opinion tho maybe I could be wrong. Just imagine if this case turns out as double jeopardy

Holy cow, the twists and turns!!
