Just listened to 151 on your recommendation and loved it; what are yr other favorites?

Storme

So awful, poor Janet. Made even worse that her glazed eyes were caused by shock. What truly evil people, all over jealousy.

izette

This case was harrowing to listen to the outcome. I found myself physically shaking my head as all the details came to light, that had been known by so many for so, so long! I think I was expecting an interest cold case solved by advances in technology. I do have to admit the early suspicion of the man who called the police, just that hint that usually someone that close to a circumstance can be involved. Just tragic. Janet and her family deserved so much better.

Demi

This was a tough one but I'm glad you covered it. It's an incredible case, by the definition of it is impossible to believe.

Christilee

I'm in disbelief. Can't believe that her BF knew all along. It's always right in your circle. Regardless of what that young lady was doing, they had no right to do that.

J. Chips

At first I was reminded of Twin Peaks Firewalk with Me… but somehow this real life crime was way way worse

Jess Chiller

So frustrating and sad that one key to lead to confession, was to relate the victim to their own daughter or loved one. Empathy is so unfortunately lost on some people, makes no sense to me.

Jess Chiller

My thoughts exactly. How did so many people keep this to themselves, even for them to stand by and allow this to happen? I just could not imagine.

Ruka

My partner usually leaves me alone to my true crime pods, but during a long drive he asked me to put one on and this was the most recent update... Truly the most horrific case. My excitement at him sharing my passion with me soon turned to awful regret. What an unbelievably awful case. Like many have said before, reminds me of Leigh Leigh. So frustrating that the case wasn't broken decades later due to tech advancements or forensic evidence... Just the same kind of detective work that should have worked the first time. Actually questioning people properly.

Sarah X

Wow! This was so crazy that as soon as I finished I listened to it again just to make sure I got it right. How horrific for her 😭

fiona liston

This one hit really hard, imagining her terror, the world truly is a horrible place.

Alisha

I had to stop listening to this one halfway through because it was too distressing 😥

Leah Budd

Omg I could not believe what I was hearing! What goes wrong inside people that turns them into something worse than an animal?? Not one person step forward to help this poor girl😥

Connor Kimmel

I can't believe how truly evil some people are. How did no one at this so called "party" come to her aid? Surely someone there must've thought "You know, maybe this isn't a good idea"

Carolyn Barry

I really love that the professor who started the whole re-investigation was moved to start a charity to help with other cold cases. Story telling as a way to get the people who know something to divulge is genius.

J. Chips

This was dark.

AR

Just want you guys to know i just got 100% first time taking a little quiz about australian states, and i feel like this is 100% casefile's doing 😂 thanks for helping me learn geography!

Mr. Wilt

Very rareley does a case leave me speechless. But... Jesus Christ, this one just earned a spot in the hall of horror for me.

Saraneth

It wasn’t a Holden Sedan, it was a GMC Jimmy! I owned a similar car once upon a time.

Fräulein Mánn-schaft

Awful!! Wtf is wrong with people?!

Eli Manning

Unresolved mysteries and true crime subreddit for the win!

LTB

We’ve probably crossed paths on there a few times lol

Michael Wood

Much like the Leigh Leigh episode this case left me shook , it’s truely heart breaking that so many people can be involved in such a brutal and senseless act and not one person come to her aid. Awesome work casefile as always delivering a captivating story told so well. Janets parents are so brave 💔

Eli Manning

Loved it think I should stop reading reddit, I knew about this case before today

Abhi Ram

Brought back memories of the Janabi case! It's freaking frustrating that when people band together they sign up to such sadistic and devious plans. Something to do with group thinking I reckon.

Natalie Jaramillo

Very difficult episode, but excellent story telling.

Rosie Overell

Strike breakers are seriously awful people. Through and through.

Olive

This is really one of the darkest things I’ve ever heard. Just awful.

Abhi Ram

Goosebumps... What an amazing intro!! The team have been doing an amazing job with the intros lately

N Stevens

This was a great episode, my favorite since 151

FELICIA

Another perfect episode! I simply can't get enough of Casefile- excellent research presented with respect for the victim.

Miriam Dean

Unreal. This brought back memories of Leigh Leigh’s case for me. How so many can agree to such a heinous plan and stay silent for so long. The statute of limitations on charges is infuriating too. There would have been so much DNA evidence on Janet’s body that this sort of crime would hopefully be solved much sooner in today’s era. Poor Janet.

Kim L.

Absolutely horrific and infuriating. All monsters, including her supposed "best friend." Thank you guys for covering Janet's case (and doing so well as always)

Jess Ashlee

Wow. This was heavy.. sickening:(

Sammy

What are the odds of having that many people in one room that all have the same sick brain as each other? R.I.P Janet x

Linde

Five weeks in a row??? This is amazing

Abhi Ram

Five weeks in a row! Wow. So good

Bob Trenwith

Now it's my turn to express surprise that you've released for five weeks straight. Is this to be the new norm?
