Hi Abhi, We sometimes name episodes differently in cases where there are multiple victims or survivors, even if the story focuses more on one individual specifically. We do this to retain equal respect for all of those who have been impacted by the crimes described. Furthermore, Alison is the only survivor in this case who has spoken publicly about her ordeal and revealed her full identity. The others have not, therefore we couldn't include their names in the title. Out of respect to their wishes, we used pseudonyms to refer to them in the episode.

Question for the team - How come this episode title refers to the perpetrators? I thought it's usually the victim that the title is named after. I thought it may be because the victim survived but looking at the last Pateron Pick episode I don't think this is the case.

I’ve just finished listening and I feel like I don’t know what to say. Alison’s story is so incredible, there really aren’t any words apart from describing how awe-inspiring her strength and survival instinct was/is. This is one of the best Casefile episodes and one that made me cry during the listen. I just felt like I needed to cry to let our feelings as I was listening to this case. This was so wild for so many reasons. Thank you for bringing it to the world, not just for the people involved but the people, like me, who haven’t heard this story ❤️❤️

I’d heard Alison’s story before but as usual casefile presented it in a respectful and interesting way. I’m happy to hear these stories of survival and strength, first Franca’s story and now Alison’s. It’s empowering to hear stories where the victim not only survived a horrific event but goes on to change laws, lives and changing the narrative and the public’s opinions on things like sexual assault, police work and the justice system.

At first I thought the description of the attack was unusually graphic for Casefile, but it becomes obvious later why this detail is necessary. What a strong woman Alison is, both physically and mentally.
