Case 246: Gregory Villemin (Part 1/2)
🕑 Added 2023-04-29 07:01:56 +0000 UTCThe extended Villemin family lived in the Vosges region of north-eastern France. From 1981, several members of the family started to receive anonymous, threatening phone calls from a mysterious caller they eventually labelled The Crow.
Young couple Jean-Marie and Christine Villemin lived in the small village of Lépanges with their four year old son Grégory. They became The Crow’s main target. Then on October 16 1984, after several years of harassment, The Crow finally delivered on one of their threats.

This is a fairly well known case. I watched a documentary on it once. And I never mind when Casefile covers a case I already know well! The story telling is always still compelling even when I know what's coming.

I need a visual for this family tree :P

Itching for part 2. Resisting the urge to google. This case is SO well done.

What a creepy case! Never heard of this before.

Aside from the craziness around the family, this is another example of how press can get in the way. 'Child just died? Let's see if we can find some dirt on the parents. Oh and pictures of the procession.' this is all kinds of crazy, can't wait for part two.

Her son dies and she's instantly pregnant again, even tho they "don't know who did it" and it could continue to put this new child in danger? That all seems insane to me.

Glad you’re covering this case. Very interesting…

This is why Casefile is the best. Although I admit I had to keep updating a family tree for this one so i could follow along

Ooooh, I am looking forward to next week's episode. Great story. I appreciate that you present cases that are not heavily covered and go so in-depth in reporting. Thank you!

I think you meant “holy crow!”

So far only one target for my disgust has surfaced ... the rumourmongers. Perhaps it will turn out that the mother is the culprit, but these people certainly have no idea. They are the same type of revolting people who were happy to publicly accuse the mother of Cleo Smith.
