Premium Episode #28 - Ina & David Steiner
🕑 Added 2024-07-06 08:06:40 +0000 UTCIn 1999, Ina and David Steiner founded an online newsletter called eCommerceBytes. The couple worked hard to establish themselves as knowledgeable, trustworthy and unbiased reporters in the e-commerce industry and were well respected by their niche community. Then in 2019, eCommerceBytes received a scathing message from a Twitter user who took issue with how Ina Steiner reported on the U.S multinational e-commerce company eBay.

Aren't you too busy with your work at the Heritage Foundation to listen to, and even more so comment on, Casefile Brock? Well The Sherman Act - which has regulated competition in America since 1890...and other rational western countries who have followed suit. Gosh!

Even if they work for it they shouldn’t be getting it? That mindset is gonna always keep you as a “victim” lol And what tighter controls?

It happened again! That other true crime podcast that covered the Zantrop case a week after you… covered this case this week!

As a former eBay employee (Ireland) I am shook. I left just before this happened but surprised I’ve never heard about it 😳 met Devin once and his visit was weird - very culty!

I remember this coming out in 2020-ish and being stunned, really glad to see more attention on the insane threats and harassment

Let me rephrase, "An example of where egregiously dreadful management makes a mockery of a particular company." Happy now Brock?

Capitalism with tighter controls. They should not get carte blanche. And NO ONE other than the investors themselves should be earning multiple millions of dollars per year.

So do you have a better solution? I’m sure we can take some pointers from Venezuela, Russia and China right? - they all seem to live in harmony
Michael Brodie
