I spent the first half of the episode convinced it had to be a gang or some stranger who committed this crime. As soon as the direction turned I was horrified at who the suspect was. I spent the second half not wanting to believe. A testament to how good the writing is to craft a story in one direction and then to run it on its head.

This has to be one of the saddest and most chilling stories I’ve ever heard. To take advantage of someone so vulnerable is such a vile act in itself, but to also be a family member who you trust? Absolutely horrible.

Yes, a great episode guys. For those that think the outcome was a bit "wonky" you have to understand that under Section 321N(3) of the Crimes Act 1958 (Vic) impossibility is not a defence. Thus, if you are a thief - say a pickpocket and you get nabbed picking a pocket that was empty...it's still attempted theft....yes, for my sins I was a lawyer and had a case like this. I'll post the relevant section below...

The sheer absurdity of the judge being like "we can't let in this evidence that might lead the jury to assume things about the evidence" my bro that's what they're there for?!
