"women in USA go to government for everything" is not an accurate statement in the slightest. Women are statistically likely to be left alone as single mothers without child support from fathers and with little to no government support. The rest of your comment, and your other comments, suggest you have a real resentment and antipathy towards women. Not great!

Let’s keep civil discussion. The comments by AR did not say that males did not experience abuse by women. The actual statistics: https://www.nsvrc.org/statistics https://www.cdc.gov/intimate-partner-violence/about/intimate-partner-violence-sexual-violence-and-stalking-among-men.html This does not indicate the gender of the abuser on men or if transgender. AR’s comments were factually correct and women have been disparaged in the public arena by politicians and provocateurs , on Twitter, etc. Women have also been taunted with words that demean by indicating men are the ones who get to decide what they do to their bodies after having legislatures determine that no pregnancy can be terminated even when a result of a crime like the man in the story. Women have a right to be concerned and it is a fact that the incoming US administration is not encouraging women’s health.

My comment didn't say anything about abuse or abuse statistics. I was speaking of cultural change being reflected in political change, and all that unfortunately has a direct impact on the lives of real women, whether you want to call it playing politics or not. Josephina did what she promised and got them out. Being there alone for the 1st days must have been awful. I cant imagine what any of those women went through 😥 some through drug withdrawal also. Such a tough listen. You see this sick stuff in movies but hard to believe lots of these are based on real life . Imagine attacking him and he died and you were left here 😥 Such a hard hard listen but so well told

I think the timing of this case, whether or not it was intentional, is really important. Here in the U.S. we're seeing a profound regression in women's rights, to the extent that a popular right-wing meme right now is "your body, my choice," referring to women having no bodily autonomy and potentially being raped. And the president-elect just chose the very unqualified random dude Matt Gaetz, who was investigated for sex trafficking and statutory rape, to be the upcoming head of our Department of Justice, in a blatant repudiation and dismissal of the concerns about him as a predator. Trump also said at a rally shortly before the election that he would protect women "whether they like it or not." Trump himself has been accused by dozens of women of sexual harassment, assault, and misconduct, and his re-election has sent a resounding message that those accusations just don't matter and he will face no consequences for them. Podcasters and influencers who make misogny part of their brand have become wildly popular, while "tradwives" are a growing phenomenon among women who seem eager to throw away their own freedoms and let men dominate them. And that's all on top of the stunning reversal of Roe v Wade and the abortion bans that have led to the preventable deaths of women all over the country, because the state wants to dictate how and when they give birth. We are rapidly reaching a place culturally where men like Gary Heidnick are not outliers, but rather an extension of a society that wants women to essentially be babymakers and sexual objects with no real agency over their own bodies. Thank you, Casefile, for a harrowing but necessary reminder of what that actually looks like.

This is such a difficult episode to get through, but I can't help but laugh at Terry Heidnick having a whole psychological criminal profile of his brother ready to go the moment reporters came knocking, complete with mention of head trauma 😭 this dude knew what was up 😶
