Yeah, it was a bit inconsistent lol. I think just stick to metric. No need to pander to the yanks.

This case reminds us that no matter how much we think we know the human mind...it humbles us how much we have yet to learn

Wish it were jarring here but Mon-Sun people can buy multiple guns here including weapons of war. 😨

Very, very well done. My mum still remembers the fear of that time. I was wondering how you would weave in Beamish and Button. Great work. Mixture of metric and imperial was interesting though.

How can any other podcast compare

What a wild ride. And to think of the people innocently convicted of his crimes, and all of the victims.

I missed you!

I had never heard of this case before. So horrifying. Thank you for covering this Casefile and good to see you're back x

Yep, and that lead detective went on to be WA's police commissioner and be implicated in the murder of a witness. Not a shred of integrity in that guy.

Welcome back Casefile team (and two parts on the same day - thank you!). The best true crime podcast by a very very long way!

Not in the US, unfortunately. Business as usual most places.

So jarring to hear about people being able to just go out and buy guns and having rifles around the house. Just a completely different time!

So glad you are back. Thanks again for the detailed reporting that includes aspects such as the aftermath and impacts on victims, society, any changes in policing procedures and laws. Happy to hear that none of the seven children began a life of crime.

(of course, it's not really that they don't believe him, but that they'd rather inflict infinite harm on other people than admit they were wrong.)

Innocent guy: gives no details about the crime, knows nothing Cops: this is our man Cook: takes cops through the whole crime scene in chronological order with just a few details slightly off Cops: nah this guy's lying 💀💀💀💀💀💀

and it's not even Christmas! Welcome back to the G.O.A.T.'s
