So things are pretty rough IRL right now :( My son is in a period where he wakes up a lot during the nights, and I'm only able to work during the evenings. When he wakes up I have to drop everything and rush to put him back to sleep asap.
He is super attached to me during the days, most days I don't eat lunch (difficult to cook and eat while he is calm), I shower to a symphony of wails, he refuses to sleep on his own so I have to lay next to him during naps, he way prefers to sleep in our bed so I sleep in fucked up positions to accomodate his need for closeness, I turn my back to him and you'd think I took a flight to China. Worst of all, I bring him with me when I go to the bathroom :| All family lives very far away and my husband is either away at school or needs to study during the day, we share responsability of our son but the day only has 24 hours and I need like 30.
Now I'm sure some of you are like "wtf, I pledge for art not for mom life blog posts" and I totally get that, I just want to paint an idea of why my upload schedule is weird. When I would post, in the evenings, I often have to abandon everything for a crying baby T_T
As weird as it sounds, I'm very happy and being a mom is the best thing to ever happen to me, but ofc it's frustrating to not be able to do more. I don't have normal "maternity leave" :( I want to open commissions, but truth is the clients are likely to have to wait a long time for their art and that makes me cautious. I've learned that the world isn't very forgiving when you've had a baby, you're expected to both be a present mom AND bounce back into work x.x People will give you shit no matter what you choose.
Those of you who comment and write me messages, it's truly appreciated :) I haven't forgotten about my patrons! I hope this puts some light on the situation, and those of you who are still with me during this slow period- thank you, I love you guys :)

Speaking for myself, but i'm not pledging "just for art". I pledge to SUPPORT you, Moomoon <3 So yeah, don't worry for venting here, i'm sure everybody understand and don't mind at all ! ^^ It's expected you have some delay on art. You're a mom now ! :D In all the great, cool and sweet way....but also the super busy and tiring ways too. ^^" Balancing your time with work/art and a baby is pretty rought, i'm sure anyone can understand that. So take your time hun, and i hope the little William will finally do his night (so you could do yorus too xD). *lot of hugs and love* <3

Moonmoon! A very lovely picture :) Dont worry about delays. Take your time. The hard time with little baby will pass. Sooner or later it will get better with sleep schedules and such! Just keep going for now :)

Sorry you're dealing with all that Moon! That's rough, but that's everything I've heard about kids and more x_x I support you whatever you do with this platform; art or mom blog stuff. I understand art delays though, you *did* just have a baby! You've gotta figure out life again, after all xD Regarding this picture: I LOVE IT 😍😍😍

I hope you can find a life balance you love. Also count me in as one in line to get a commission when you can! As for this picture: looks like the paladin is being naughty again!
You don't have to worry, Moon. If you need to vent then just vent. It's alright if you're having a tough time and screw what the world thinks, you're just trying to do your best as a mother while managing work at the same time. No one should have to judge you for that. If people can't understand that then that's their problem. What matters to me is you're doing the best you can. :)
