Let’s goo, push to break the 1000 threshold mark

PriÀm

I thought I'd done a post on this but I forgot, sorry! I've decided to delete upgrades to lvl 20. It confuses a lot of readers and it's hard to remember them because they're rarely mentioned afterwards. The only massive upgrades written will be when rarity changes. I think it's better that way, there's enough to remember as it is. I plan to edit the previous chapters to keep continuity. I haven't forgotten Land Owner, we'll talk about it again as soon as Priam gets back near a rift!

PriÀm

Thanks man, love the suggestions! small change: With a thought, he reduced the size of the portal to Concepts Archipelago to a point and stoked the campfire. As Champion of the Fire Concept, he could modify the properties of a fire and force it to produce more smoke—this physical phenomenon was called incomplete combustion. [...] Dizzy, Priam fell to the ground and then took another deep breath. His vitality could have allowed him to resist longer, but he was using Micro to force his lungs to absorb as much smoke as possible. The wood’s incomplete combustion created carbon monoxide, a toxic gas that would bind to the hemoglobin in the blood, preventing the vital fluid from carrying oxygen. Priam wasn't just suffocating; he was actively asphyxiating himself, hoping to achieve a better title than [Breathless].

And if he ever gets strong enough, he could use it as a blunt force weapon. Just imagine if he brought it into his inner world, traveled several kilometers into the sky, and then dropped it. With Elesyum's high gravity and the immense density and durability of the projectile, that should be quite the formidable attack. Doing some rough calculations and assuming gravity reaches a peak of something like 10g and that the density of the information nexus is about the same as platinum (it's probably even higher as a tier-6 material), if he drops it from 13km height it would take about 16s to fall and would be moving at about 1600m/s on impact. I think the size was something like 2m³ from what I remember, which would give it a mass of 43000kg (at platinum density) but a weight 10x that under the increased gravity. The impact energy would be something like 55 gigajoules. That's more than a M.O.A.B bomb and also completely concentrated into the surface area of the impact with zero force dispersion because the projectile is too solid to fragment. One might think this isn't effective because they would have time to detect the projectile and move. . . Not if future Mist Champion Priam conceals it with his mastered mist concept.

At some point in the future I want to see Priam doing both his physical and aether exercises using the information nexus altar thing as a training weight. It's such a perfect tool for this purpose. And because it's tier-6, it should be extremely difficult for him to affect with any application of concepts, aether, supremacy, etc. I can't think of any better training tool than that. He should also spend time training his various perception skills by trying to analyze it. Right now it's more useful as a training tool than an interface with the broker.

Due dates are fine. You can just leave a comment or something if you don’t think it will be ready on time. More importantly do we need a retcon for gravity resistance lv 20 or maybe not all skills get a bonus feature? It would be better to fix it sooner. On another note, we didn’t see any changes to the land owner title with the increased logarithm area of influence and title of nobility. Shouldn’t it have added new effects for the his new title at least? Or maybe there is a minimum land requirement for each nobility tier?

That last paragraph is so poetic. Also, if he is causing the fire to smoke heavily, that means it isn't burning as efficiently and also producing more carbon monoxide than carbon dioxide. The body doesn't really absorb carbon dioxide. The lungs are optimized at expelling it. You will still suffocate if your lungs are full of it and get no oxygen, but it's in the same way as breathing too much helium. Carbon monoxide actually gets absorbed and replaces the oxygen bonds in the body. Not a big deal. You could probably not change it and be ok, but I'm too much of a nerd to not point it out.

Thank you!

Thanks so much for the chapter - don't feel too bad about the schedule, especially for things that are outside of your own control. We'll get them when we get them, and with your consistent quality, we'll keep coming back, so save some free time for yourself too.
