Jasmine Kaldwin for slaying the (A)arkanian leader! Teleportation of one million (A)arkanians to Proxima these monsters listlessly followed the winds’ direction listless(remove)

Zarik0

Sorry for the extra work :) But that was just too much unexpected and different to all what previously you had written that I just needed to make quite a fuss about it xD I appreciate that you can made some correction (and still make/stay with your own spin/touch on it (even better in my view)) You juggle with a lots of things and untill now it was alway just rock solid consistantly that I feel like it come out of nowhere and just jumped in my eye so hard :P

I edited three chapters to address your point about mid-air teleportation. You’re right, it was stupid. Anyway, it’s fixed! As for assassinating a leader, I need to clarify a few things: obviously, the System wouldn’t allow a sacrifice to summon a million elites. The leader must be legitimate in the eyes of the System (which can be interpreted in many different ways depending on the civilization). For humans, they’d need the support of at least fifty percent of humanity present on Proxima (whether through democracy, force, or other means). Let’s be clear: this reward exists to tempt a leader’s enemies and to force leaders to be strong, either personally, through their organization, or by other means. The System wouldn’t allow someone to abuse such a fundamental mechanic to destroy the status quo. This kind of thing is hard to explain in the book, but as a reader, you know the System is more or less impartial, neutral, and intolerant of repeated cheating. Based on your comment (Zarik0), I think we can agree that you already knew the System wouldn’t let anyone exploit this mechanic carelessly. And you’re right.

Not just that, the quests are probably customized a bit. If an individual is against their race, it makes sense that they’re allowed to act against them, but in order to not incentivize the act outright, one of the rewards will remain the same (summoning a million of the turncoat’s race), since the race might still get stronger in such a case. I think it strikes a bit of a balance. Makes the leadership know that they aren’t irreplaceable. That aside, I feel like there should be some kind of limitation to prevent abuse. Maybe criteria that limits how one can earn system recognition as leadership, or how often the reward can be earned? Maybe just criteria for recognition

Stefan Landshut

I also understand that the champion of your own nation would not get that kind of quest. I feel Jasmine got it because of Priam.

Stefan Landshut

I also was not "ok" with the idea that the rewards would be: 1 - automatic? maybe be summoned when you want to? 2 - in the aire? like, i just got an amazing rewards. 1 million about to be dead people falling from the sky? Unless the change of fate is that strong?

Interesting.

TFTC Here we go Tribulation :))) Little things The last two post was odd to me, there is two thing that i just found to be non sense and quite out of normal for the story and what is into it that was show untill now, doesn't make sense to me The assasinate leader of a civ by own champion of the civ and still get reward.... (more importly the teleportation of reinforcement of people of the civ as reward of it) Its just bs in my view, no way the system let this like that, its just so easy to vote a people who is ready to sacrifice itself into the leader of the civ and let him be killed..... do that 5-10 time and behold, you get your civ with tens of millions of added elite people teleported as reinforcement and so can win and steamroll the conflict the system created between the civ, the lop hole here doesn't make sense Secondly, the big reward of a system quest....because you killed the leader at the top of a tower or hight height, it make your civ elite people who are reinforcement teleport mid air?????? And more than half of it will surely FALL TO DEATH Just wtf man, how does it even make sense? that so out of normal and contrary to all what we get previously in the story and about the system do thing, its just non-sensical in my view Your big 'reward' for a hard feat you done to help your civ is to doom more than half of the elite of your civ for FREE xDDD

Agamemnon

Narcoleptic Jellyfish

He took the conquest aura. There could be good cases for Alexander, Genghis Khan, Hannibal Barca, someone like that. However, with Priam's scientific background, my intuition says it might be an idealised Newton, Einstein, or Darwin... there are probably good cases for hundreds of historical figures. That's assuming it isn't something twisty!

Derze

niceeeee. And so it begins

Prem Chanumalla

I’m thinking along the lines of demigods like Hercules

Prem Chanumalla

Who’s a hero of humanity, real or false that could qualify

Andrew

Thank you!

Michael

Cliffff!

James Faulkner

Tftc! Wonder what his nemesis is?

LIMBO

Is it Arnold ?

Jared Jobbins

It would also be hilarious if the nemesis is Priam's name sake, tho I very much doubt that.

Jared Jobbins

Priam is about to have a qualitative increase in power. :))))

Andreas Fagernes Edelsteen Holm

Tyftc

M. Kazai

Find it difficult to call Anatole his Nemesis. It also doesn't need to be someone we met before

_mori

Anatole?
