New Plan - VR (with video)

I’ll be sticking around till the conclusion of part 3, but past that I must respectfully withdraw as I have no interest in funding VR animations or a VR project. Especially one that isn’t going to be a standalone experience built on fairly robust 3d animations, IE a movie in VR. I wish you the best of luck and I hope it works out, but this is not a direction I wish to be a part of.

The decision to go for VR seems very abrupt. Maybe something to pursue in your spare time for a project down the line in my opinion. All said, I hope your successful with VR, but if that's the venue this project is moving towards I can't say I'll be able to support it.

Yeah I don't have the money, capability, or interest to do VR. If this is going to move to a VR only experience I'm out. Your idea is cool and I'm glad you're excited but I'd be playing monthly for something I could never enjoy. Good luck with this but if you go this direction you're losing my patronage, sorry.

VR isn't even real VR as of yet. The system is very hit or miss and its not very friendly if you have certain optical conditions. In fact it can cause severe migraines from short play times. I won't touch VR until I see they design a system that goes beyond what any of the current systems offer. The focal point of VR is what causes the problem. But then again you never hear about the health problems related to VR. Just all the hype. I'm out too if its really going the vr route.

Yeah, if you weren't going to lose me with moving to VR (you were, by the way), you definitely lost me with "more of a book, less of a game." Not interested in VR. At all. It's a lame gimmick, and I'm certainly not interested in supporting a game that's moving onto a venue that I don't have the equipment for and never intend to acquire the equipment for.

only VR narrows your audience even more, besides, I ain't playing VR with porn on my screen

Vr is too expensive in my country. It will be a bad idea to start an only Vr project I don't mind if it's in 3d but not Vr only please

Mmh it's ambitious . Honestly it's cool you get that idea for make the game more realistic . But like you said go back to rewind all things is out of question . What i think is you should doing is put down the story complete . ( finnish the game or the story on paper ) It give you and us a base for works ( artist can paint some scene for the story ) For animation , yeah give some scenes or event a little animated video would be thrilling . Vr ... Awesome ... but none many of us are tuned with that . it's a very cool idea don't give up this project but it's too soon . Or let's see if you can make an little escape game of a maze damaged space ship in the theme of parasite infection ( An side story , the player had to flee fom werm around the ship and collect some gear to escape ) Or re create the story part the Mall in Vr ( have the most scenes and possibility and you play the vilain ^^) Anyway , thk for all . It's good news . Happy new year and keep going . Let's see what happens !

Even as someone who has access to VR, this does not interest me in the slightest. The strength of this project has always been the writing and the core choices - frankly, most of the more 'gamey' and interactive elements (the old walkaround mode, the brain infection minigame, the new sex minigames, the new infestation minigame) outside of the interactive fiction at its core have never appealed to me. The new art is excellent, but otherwise I feel like a lot of the 'mechanics' just get in the way.

I like twine because it let you do some part of the imagining. Besides VR is a gadget

Not everyone can afford the equipment necessary to support the transition. You stand to lose a lot of people if you make the switch

Not interested in VR -- even though I could afford the hardware. I wouldn't mind seeing what's possible in Unity though -- without VR.

Ultimately any product (game, porn, whatever) that you're invested in creating is likely to be of a higher quality than a product that you're not invested in. That said, I enjoy the game in its current iteration, both the text/audio style and the art assets that are used. That's the game that I elected to become a patron of, and that's the direction in which I'd prefer it to continue.

While i am a big fan of VR this sounds like a bad idea. i highly advise you not to do this. also be carefull with that VRChat based video. the VRChat devs are not a big fan of content like this being streamed or posted online.

This is a profoundly stupid idea. You're going to lose a lot of support for trying to switch to a nearly doa system from something as open to everyone as twine is. You keep adding more complexity to work you seemingly already struggle with. As with deamonmaster if this is your plan, I too won't be supporting this.

This seems like profoundly unwise mission creep.

It's a neat idea, granted, but I feel like it leaves those of us without VR equipment out in the cold.
