2.4 - "Frustration update" (plot advance)

- Figure out all the core features
- Refine the core features
- Figure out the core plot

- Upgrade all the art (happening in parallel with everything else)
- Initial round of dedicated bug-checking
- Balancing the flow of the game (checking for overpowered stats, speed)
- Polish the audio
- Final round of bug checking
- Grammar check
- Aesthetics (spacing, font colors, font type, etc)
- Completion
Well, conceptually the sex module core feature is being a pain in the ass. And it's absolutely necessary for the encounter module.
The problem is how to organize the act of sex. It needs to cover all these cases:
- Normal sex
- Infestation
- NPC-NPC sex
- Forced sex
- >2 person sex
- Werm brain infestation (self and NPC)
The design problem involves the level of freedom allowed to the player. Should any sex act be able to lead into any other sex act? Should the player be corralled into specific options? Should the category data be on the front end of the sex acts, or on the back end? Should sex acts be functions that detect available actions once they are complete, or should a larger overall engine determine what is available based on current conditions? I've looked to other games, but couldn't find an ideal system that exists. Generally speaking, when people try to create an interactive sex system, I find it to be the most boring and tedious part of the game. I'm always thinking "what am I supposed to do next", worried that there's some hidden option that I'm not seeing. But if it's too straightforward, does that make it so obvious that it loses any appeal? One thought experiment I've been doing is to take the art out of interactive sex scenes, and see if it still holds up as being interesting.
It's a headache. It's totally doable though, it's just a slugfest getting through the design aspect.
So I ran away from it, for now, because it's just so 'ugh', and did a bit more of the plot instead. I went back through part 1 to get myself back into the game, and holy crap were there a lot of weird broken things going on.
Changes:
- Cleaned up part 1. It should take slightly longer to turn female on the spaceship.
- Added the beginnings of plotlines for Sandra, Julie, Jessica, Robyn, and Claire mindfucking the player and imposing their will upon them.
- There is an encounter with Joan that happens 10 days after beginning part 2, as long as someone in the house has been infested in the brain with a werm. I will be able to continue all these plotlines after the sex module is done, hopefully this week.
- Fixed the massage parlor person not being able to be infested. It was trying to infest the vagina. Males have no vagina.
- Updated Robyn's main art, nude/parasite version still being worked on (new artist, hopefully will be working on the side-characters while ModeSeven does the main characters)
- Fixed z-index on enlarged breast starfish parasites so they show correctly
- Fixed torso disappearing from Chet once breasts grow too large
- Added squishy audio loop when infested in the brain by a werm
There's some kind of memory leak going on with Twine. If you save and reload, it plays faster. Might have to take drastic measures regarding the native rewind mechanic.
Post Script: Wow. For some reason I'm feeling a lot better about this. Incredibly weird. But getting back into the writing portion seems to have lifted something from me.

i know, what I meant was that stats were reset, just as if it was a brand new game.
Bug report You can put multiple chocker on Joan's crotch. His penis stays clean. No indication of any change when apply chocker to crotch. All character seem to have this option, even if they lack penis.
That has been the "feature" of bio hazard route for a long time. Personally I take the "escape" route after completing the "quests" from our glorius masters, the Werm.
Mall isn't finished yet. That is why you get all those logic statements.
Chokers on crotches do not work period. Think it is meant for male infection only as it gives them a womb. Females already have wombs and thus, shouldn't need it. I might be wrong on this though.
Just to answer one of the bugs here. The teachers lounge was changed in 2.36b with this statement: Teacher lounge is no longer trappable. So, not a bug.
Bug report What happened: Entered Sandra’s room after infection and got following Message: Error: <<if>>: bad conditional expression in <<elseif>> clause (#1): Cannot read property 'pc' of undefined How to Reproduce: Infect Sandra’s room, star fish on breasts, mature for a couple days (huge tits), enter room with her in it with only infection no parasites. - What Happened: No option to infect teacher’s lounge How to Reproduce: Head straight for teachers lounge first couple days. - What happened: Infest breasts does not register as properly infected, keeps giving option How to Reproduce: Apply starfish to breasts and let them grow to very large size. Add werm to breasts and the option will continue to be available no matter how many times selected. - What happened: Put choker on Tracie’s crotch and it didn’t register. Similar to infesting my own nipples. Will consumer 1 choker from your inventory for every attempt. How to reproduce: Apply choker to her crotch. No special conditions - What happened: mall displays log of logic statements. How to repeat: Go to mall and click on any store. - What happened: attempted to infest brain of tracie, error message spawned : Error: <<set>>: bad evaluation: Cannot create property 'mini_infest_stage' on number '4 How to reproduce: infect Tracie and then try to infect her brain. - What happened: Claire won’t teach sexual education to the class How to reproduce: no matter what option or level of infection she will not start teaching sex education - What happened: Infecting molten topic produced error: Error: <<set>>: bad evaluation: Cannot read property 'indexOf' of undefined How to reproduce: Head to mall, go to molten topic and infest. When going from part 1 to 2 the story reset as if it was jumped from the menu screen. (I took the biohazard thing to continu the story)

okay well i ended part 1 fully infested after finding the biosuit crate and didnt get a choice it just chose chloe for me, also just how do i infect strip club management

It should allow you to re-choose your gender once part 2 starts. That was a really old feature that got grandfathered in.
