This is my favorite movie of all time! I had a little karaoke toy that would play all the songs from the movie and I sang them every day as a child. Fun fact, Feed The Birds was Walt’s favorite song ever composed by the Sherman Brothers, who he had work on many of their films, and had them play it for him in his office every Friday afternoon until his death.

Mary Poppins is the definition of movie magic! Truly one of Walt Disney's crowning achievements. I believe Walt approached Julie Andrews for this movie after seeing her on Broadway---offered the titular role to her right then and there. Julie initially declined since she was due to have a baby, but Walt was so certain about her and so he said "We'll wait". Can you imagine! THE Walt Disney putting a project on hold for you. Julie Andrews' Oscar win was much deserved indeed :)

You should put Saving Mr. banks on the next poll. It’s a movie about the making of Marry Poppins. The author of the marry Poppins books, P.L Travers, had a lot of trauma from her childhood and it inspired the books. So she made the production of the movie extremely difficult because she didn’t want to give up the rights to the books. Highly recommend putting Saving Mr. Banks on the polls.
