Thanks for this reaction, JV! The argument between Blitzø and Stolas is so well acted, I always get chills watching it. The miscommunication dynamic works so well between these two because their social class is so different. Stolas doesn’t realize that while he loves Blitzø, the way Stolas talks to him and how the relationship started really makes it seem like Stolas sees Blitzø as lesser. Stolas has to realize how much privilege he has before he can grapple with that.

I’m not saying at all that he hates the lower class. What I’m saying is that he has lived a very privileged lifestyle, one where he was raised to look down on the lower class. I really don’t want to bring up the latest episode because of spoilers. But there’s a reason what happens to him in the latest episode happens to him. And it’s not to teach Blitzø a lesson, it’s for Stolas to learn.

That’s your interpretation of what happened. I genuinely don’t see it that way. I’m 100% on Blitzø’s side on this. Stolas was 100% condescending whether he meant it or not.

We have to remember that even though Stolas doesn't hate the lower class, it is inadvertantly embedded him that imps are of a lower class as that's what he's seen growing up

He didn't mean to be condescending. When he would call him Blitzy, that was in an endearing way

To be fair, for most of season 1 Stolas was very condescending towards imps especially Blitzø. Everyone was getting mad at Blitzø for what he screamed at Stolas in this episode, but if they were Blitzø’s situation they would have said the same thing. I know I would’ve. It’s definitely very complicated.
