A good measure of Power Rangers only makes sense within its own context. On the more practical side, this movie was shot in Australia, with the new cast members being brought along shortly after being hired. As for the ooze... It looks like Nickelodeon Gak.

About halfway through the second season, rocky, Adam and Aisha were introduced as students from another school who won a Martial arts tournament and eventually transferred to Angel Grove high. They discovered the Rangers' identities after falling victim to one of Zedd's schemes. After thoroughly vetting them, he swore them to secrecy, and they became Power Rangers themselves soon after.

Was watching the first season of Power rangers today with my girls. They'll grow up with it too!

this movie was my childhood. I remember getting all the McDonald's Happy Meal toys! Power Rangers is like Doctor Who, the teams change over time because of storyline/behind-the-scenes reasons. while this is one of my absolute favorite pieces of Power Rangers media, it isn't canon to the main timeline. the timeline eventually incorporates things like the Ninjetti outfits and using Tengu Warriors but ultimately this movie stands on its own. and YES! the fight with the Stone Guardians was awesome! such good fight choreography despite it being layered in CHEESE lol
