C_Mantis

It hasn't come up yet but manipulation skills fall out side of that. they are odd in that they are not a channel skill or a single cost but also neither ranged or melee. Good catch.

Chymor

The t5 wand sounded perfect for Liz, isn’t blood manipulation a ranged spell? What is she using that’s so good that she doesn’t want it?

striderfighter

I'd like to think that the trick rift joke is that the pillow the earrings came with would be the more valuable thing... something to help cultivation...

C_Mantis

good catch thank you

rizen

"Matt knew the logical choice wasn't the right one. The safe bet was to sell the skill, and get a high Tiered, channeling attack spell but..." I think "skill" should be item or rings yeah?

seth dauer

I'm still not convinced the earrings are mundane. She had to bring out a tier 15 to confirm the growth item so being wrong is possible. Besides the rift didn't need to waste essence on loads of monsters. Just traps basically.

Its honestly a perfect balance considering they also had completely mundane earring set from a pain in the ass puzzle rift.

Monus

I don't think it is that impulsive. If you here stories about people that fought together in war -even for a short time - they often had quite strong and long lasting friendships. Maybe impulsive but not unreasonable

Daniel Staub

I wonder what the rings will be able to do when they get upgraded. The other ring-wearer always counts as being in touch range. Your skills can be used on the other ring-wearer as if they were you. The other ring-wearer can be the origin point for your skills and spells. Lots of fun stuff should be possible.

Aidan Geverdt

Nice, I like Liz so I’m excited to see where this goes. It seems like Matt is getting lucky but also it’s a world cultivated to produce better rewards so it makes sense.

Yashakami

Thanks for the chapter! Damn that was great. Those rings are even cooler than I thought they'd be

Obran

You might want to change this sentence: “When they were teleported back to the city, they arrived on a platform covered in blood. You might want to change this sentence slightly:” When I first read it I thought “they” were covered in blood. Probably due to Liz’s build. It was only after my second reading that I realized the platform itself was bloody.

Hunter Dupuis

Meh not a big fan of the impulsive choice to give her the ring

They said that their party was only allowed to add members per their sponser's approval. Matt was sponsored on his own and they told him to make his own way through The Path. So he should be able to do whatever he wants. Should be the same for Liz since she wasn't sponsored as a party either.

Charles handgis

I’m curious didn’t Matt’s other friends say a mentor has to approve adding people to a team on the path? Was that a general rule or just a rule for their team?

Obran

Our man Matt had better not piss off Liz and Liz had better not piss off Matt. I can’t help imagine one of them jumping into a Volcano, and on the way down to the lava, using the ring to switch places withe the other person

Starfall20

I agree. When he got that he said it felt like it was already enchanted. That makes it at minimum a tier five if not higher. But it was from the dragon and therefore worth more so....

ALEXEI

He needs a offensive skill haha

Tauwetter

How will they know which materials are needed to upgrade the rings?

Obran

In all fairness, Liz is a ginger and thus is know to steal souls

Stephen Pearson

Thanks for the chapter:-)

Sesharan

Add me to the people who were surprised that he didn’t give the other ring to Aster. I would never have guessed that he would actually form a permanent party with Liz— I thought she was going to end as a recurring rival.

PrimordialJay

He needs a skill to create mana stones.

Obran

I was curious about the metal bar that was the prize from the dragon world. (and I too thought the ring would go to Aster.)

C_Mantis

Good catch tyty

Tauwetter

"One had large gauntlets that glowed a yellow." Sounds weird. Either glowed yellow or glowed a shade of yellow.

C_Mantis

Waiting until t15 for aster to become human would waste any advantage from the rings. At that point it be better to sell them.

Patrick Schuldt

Huh, am I the only one who thought he will keep the rings for Aster and himself? The ringswap was a little impulsive for me. They only know each other for ~5 days.

Tauwetter

Looooot! :)

Lictor Magnus

Thanks for another great chapter. Please don't kill Liz. The exchanging of rings that break when the owner dies has raised a death flag.

Vegetables

Thanks for the stuff!
