From there your submission will be added as 'Anonymous' for the rest of the contest (I will likely repost the submission here in the comments myself so people can see). That's the best I can do for people and still verify legit submissions!
VIP Animation Friends and Fans (and above)!!! We have a new Design a Character Contest for your tiers!
We did this last year and I want to give it another go. Our previous winner was our own Furry Murr who helped design Alicia Alexandra and was brought into the monthly animations. Now it's time to call on YOUR IDEAS!
I want YOUR HELP for coming up with one new character which I will draw and ANIMATE in an upcoming movie. YOU HEARD ME RIGHT! Let's you and I work together to make a NEW LADY to bring into the Growth Lab Universe!
Also, even if you aren't a writer or wordsmith BUT have an idea - put down as much as you want or can! It's worth a shot!
First some overall rules
- Rule #1 Read all rules (and stages) before commenting!
- Rule #2 READ RULE #1
- This is about having fun and the SPIRIT of the contest is WE ALL WIN.
- Final choices will be mine and they will be based on YOUR IDEAS and YOUR VOTES.
- In the end, I will make a call on all valid entries and pick ONE to animate and bring into the Growth Lab Animated Movie series
- The event is in stages - design and voting.
- This is a collaboration between me and you! Please bear with me if there are adjustments and corrections as we go. I want this to stay fair and fun and I will be working to keep it that way!
- If you entered last year and didn't win and want to resubmit (or alter the submission) - please do! Making a new character is fine as well!
Stage 1 Ideas from YOU
- Suggest a character IN THE COMMENTS OF THIS POST! This is the ONLY place to do so!!
- Each patron is allowed ONE ENTRY COMMENT. Let's keep this on the rails folks!
- You have a maximum of TWO HUNDRED WORDS TOTAL to describe your character in the comment - If you use more your entry will be ignored or deleted! You also do not NEED to use the word count but it's there for people who want it. That said - when we do the finals I will edit the voting selections down myself to make them uniform with each other.
- The base character you start with is a human female (sorry folks, no aliens or variants)
- The character MUST be an adult so she can fit/work into the GLab storylines (The base age must be 20 years or older and I reserve the right to age up your idea further if need be) Going under this will result in an age up of your character or comment deletion.
- Your sixty words should include - FULL FIRST AND LAST NAME and SHORT BIO ABOUT THEM (things such as likes, jobs personality, etc)
- IMPORTANT - DO NOT DESCRIBE THEM PHYSICALLY. I don't need or want to know about the hair, eyes, weight, clothes or anything like that - stick to personality and their NON-PHYSICAL TRAITS!
- Likes, dislikes, schooling, nicknames, where they were born are all fair game to talk about. Also things like shy, outgoing, enjoys sports, music, plays instrument, languages spoken, jobs or schools, etc - all good to describe.
- Things like SUPERPOWERS or super abilities are valid ideas! I can't guarantee they will be used or make it to the final but it's worth a shot if you like it!
- In order to maximize the appeal and possible fit please avoid listing things like political views, religious views or sexual preferences and proclivities of any kind. There is nothing wrong with having any of those of course but those are not the focus of this part of the process.
- Remember - NO PHYSICAL DESCRIPTIONS - this is about personality and background details! Think of this as a collaboration between you and I where I will pull the physical look from YOUR ideas. Descriptions like - what job does this person have, what do they like to do in their spare time, are they in school and for what, do they like have hobbies or likes they engage in, can all be helpful.
- For those who aren't writers of familiar with lore - THAT'S OK - just put what you can in the idea and I will do the rest.
- List their age if you feel it's necessary or you can let me decide!
- List their GROWTH TYPE - BE or FMG (for a character that is MOSTLY about breast expansion or MOSTLY about female muscle growth). I'm simplifying it to these two to make things easier and within my wheelhouse. If you don't list one of these two I will CHOOSE ONE MYSELF. If you list something OTHER than these two I will IGNORE OR DELETE the comment.
- The above is not meant as a slam on other transformation types; as I mention above, I want things to stay in my wheelhouse.
- Bonus points for tying the character into Growth Lab lore, into relationships with OTHER Growth Lab characters, comics or movies.
- When this stage ends I will pull the top 25 entries into a poll YOU VOTE ON.
Stage 2 - I draw, you vote and someone wins!
- I will take three top voted winners from above and do a 'character sketch' of each.
- There will be a vote for one of those three and from that I will pick a winner to go into the Animation and movie series.
Overall
- Please know at all stages I will be looking for characters that fit the overall narrative and direction of the Growth Lab series. Totally random characters, out of place ideas that otherwise don't quite fit will be altered or ignored.
- Sadly, I know I will not be able to make EVERY PERSON'S dream come true to bring your exact idea to life. This is a collaboration and we are working together and we are looking to have fun and MAYBE do more of these contests.
- All entries and eventual winner will be owned (and be properties of) your old pal Ready Art. I know that might seem odd to mention now but I want to be clear about where this is going. It's still meant to be fun! I say this in case I want to dive back into the ideas at later date and perhaps revisit one of the entries. (it also just makes things MUCH easier for me overall)
- This is supposed to be FUN so please keep all entries, comments and replies CIVIL! You have been warned!

- Ideally in May or June we will see this character debut in the monthly animations!

Daisy Aratelli Age : 28 Growth Type : Colossus FMG Originally from Wyoming she lived there for years on a ranch with her family. Daisy moved later on in life to Kentucky when a family loss suddenly gave her the reins (pun intended) to a ranch of her own! She decided to turn it into a ranch themed resort to give tourists a taste of farm life in a cozy atmosphere. Now she works to acquire a dairy and start a chain of fun country western themed resorts. Trivia: Turned her hair white by accident the first time she tried dyeing her hair in high school, survived a shark attack while diving in college, has the latest security tech on her resorts but has it disguised as folksy fun and loves the wide open plains and spaces of the country. A skilled horseback rider, bull wrangler and even leatherworking and tanning. Has appeared in a few low budget "B" films when they needed horses for the movies.

ANONYMOUS ENTRY #1 Beatrix "Bee" Davidson Age: 22-24ish Growth type: _HEAVY_ FMG Dramatis Personae: She’s kinda like a hippie who got ejected out of a time portal into the present day. Incredibly cordial, but never vapid, Bee remains the Eternal Optimist no matter what difficulties or obstacles she deals with. She tries to come up with creative (if, at times, utterly reckless and/or unorthodox) solutions to any and everything. Still, she seems rather sheltered…or impossibly oblivious to the Growth energy outbreaks of the past, somehow, as if she’d never encountered them before in her life. It’s possible she really DID live in a hippie commune or something before she struck out in the world. She plays keyboard and seems to have a musical background but mostly takes odd jobs or handyman gigs, construction work, etc. to pay bills, having not found suitable music work or a welcoming band. Recently she has, perhaps unwittingly unaware of how this will put her in Growth’s way, become a technician intern for KCN and was assigned to driving Molly Quinn's van. Quinn, however, has since assumed Bee is her PERSONAL chauffeur and go-fer, and Bee hasn’t the heart (or courage) to contradict her.
