Hypothetical Question, what about a one-off comic in a new setting!
🕑 Added 2024-05-27 07:57:14 +0000 UTCIf, and I am not saying this is happening but IF your old pal Ready was making a comic that focused on non-Growth Lab characters. If I was making such a comic and wanted to put in a lot of fun characters and ladies YOU might like to see get the Ready Art treatment, who might that be?
Check out the poll and vote if you like. I am considering doing a comic outside the Growth Lab Universe and there are so many options. This comic, if I did it, would be something done strictly for fun as a fan project. Everyone here would get all the WIP pages and the earliest look at it and after a while it would go public.
The end result would likely involve me picking things I'm interested in based on your feedback. Believe me, if I'm drawing at 3am it's worth it for me to be invested in the idea! haha
GENERAL NOTES
PLEASE NO OC's! There are a few reasons for this but mostly the focus is on characters we are familiar with.
Please focus on female characters, I'm not looking to gender swap nor am I looking for male suggestions at this stage. This hypothetical comic would likely have males though!
Please no characters that are underage, widely viewed as underage or mostly shown as underage. I will pass on these. (read this again)
Please human-centric female characters (versus animal based and extreme aliens), if you are in doubt - comment and I will reply!
Don't hold my feet in the fire about this. I will run the poll and think about it. This is still in the idea stage and I'm workshopping it with YOUR help!
This is all about having fun so let's be civil and enjoy the process.

Yep, exactly as I mention - this is really about staying clear of underage art overall. Most of it comes down to broad interpretation. Still, we have so many other characters that are awesome we should be covered.

I didn't realize that until you mentioned it but I imagine Adam was a teen too. Generally speaking, the old series had characters most would head canon as adults since, as you mention, they are definitely not drawn as teens. haha

Good stuff but as I mention above to David Minnocci, people like Starfire and Raven are basically off the consideration list since they are widely viewed as part of a "teen" group (underage). My evidence of this is basically everyone cites them as from the "Teen Titans" as you did. That's not a huge deal since there are so many other great characters! I'm also not looking to debate this in the comments! haha

She-Ra in interesting. I checked out the WIKI of the Netflix one and it looks like she's a teenager in that. Still, there is the old show where she's a woman. Great idea though!

well, if I really have to choose, I'd say I'd like to see video game characters, like seeing Mei from Overwatch again in your style would be nice, or if you always want the video game theme, see ms.fortune (skullgirls) and Felicia (darkstalkers) in your style it would be an interesting test, instead for cartoons, maybe see Raven and Starfire from the Teen Titans (animated series) in your style, for example Raven who has an expansion of ass and breasts while meditating or Starfire who has the same thing but while flies around, then I don't know what you think?
