Fortnightly Progress - 31st October

Woo hotfix/half if not more of the update came out! Public release is also now out in all the usual places.
Next update is aiming to purely to get some patron commitments done along with the direction polling result of adding magic/elementalism for you. With the extra hotfixes some of that's done and in the game already. My aim for that is for the end of the first full week of November so Sunday 10th is the deadline and ideally will be done before that.
After that I want to do another update aiming for the end of November. The Direction polling finished for that one and it was incredibly close:
3 to 5 new assignments (4+2=6)
Review training outcomes (7+1=8)
Going on assignment lines of dialogue (5+1=6)
More lore unlocks (3+1=4)
More forced encounters (7+3=10)
Improvements for talking to slavers (9+2=11)
More work to increase art variation (1+0)
Preferred weaponry (4+1=5)
More negative traits (3+2=5)
Finish off the implementation for Switch (8+3=11)
Now I could use the higher tier as the tie-breaker, but as that wasn't established before hand I figure I'll just do both of them for that update.
- The No Haven Conversion
Down to 1,250 from 1,650 conditions last time so again getting closer. There's something very very odd where I swear it's not capturing everything so I end up having to do the exact same regular expressions again which is both slowing down progress and making me increasingly paranoid I swear. Not at all sure what's going on there but it's very annoying.
Work continues on the Wednesday streams.
- Commissions
Commission poll finished and for the first time there were some genuine differences between the polls.
General Encampment background (39+6+1=46)
Neko Protection League and Forest Goblin Slave (14+5+2=21)
Legion and Bred to be Broken (25+5+3=33)
Zharr Dwarf Slave, Drow Slaver, and Ample Distractions (16+9+3=28)
Raid Human Village, Fancy Battlemaid, and Savage Orc Slaver (15+5+2=22)
Human Northerner Slaver, Orc Cum Addict Training, and Human Bimbo (29+8+3=40)
Now when I started these extra polls I didn't want to do too much in making the main poll pointless. As mentioned before I've seen some other patreons when the idea was suggested to me with similarly run polls where higher tiers get 10x or even 50x which seems pretty harsh to me. Still It seems like I can adjust this a bit so higher tiers do get some more value without overbalancing things too much.
Simplest would be if both the $10 and $25 were worth x2 then Encampment would have still won with 53 votes and the last option would have had 51. If $10 was worth x2 and $25 was worth x3 then they would have tied with 54 votes each.
For the new commission poll next week I think I'll try with x2 and x3 for the higher tiers and see how it goes. Still a work in progress as I do want to strike the right balance between fairness along with rewarding higher tiers. Let me know what you think.
July+August - Deep Mountains Slave Caravan, Watchtower, and Fake Herald of Paradise:
Both Watchtower and Fake Herald of Paradise are done. I might be getting an update to the harpy. Talked to the artist about it and they're down for making one adjustment I think will really help with the general look of the piece.
Slave Caravan is confirmed still for November.
September - Nymph and Wood Elf: Talked to the artist and they're aiming to start this week.
September+October - Encampment: Talked to two artists. One is up for it but not sure when. Other was also up for it, but wouldn't be able to do it until January and quoted more than I could easily justify. It's a big piece so obviously going to be pricey. Still there do have to be limits alas in what I can budget for. Arguably spent way, way too much on a couple of past pieces in terms of the reception I got from them here on the patreon/tumblr/twitter/pixiv, and do have to see those as learning experiences.
Bonus Commission: Spotted a new artist who looks seriously promising. So giving them a go on one of the old smaller poll options to try them out. Very good experience dealing with them so far and they aim to start work in two weeks.
One bit of bad news is that for personal reasons Eladaer is going to be taking a break from doing commissions. Hoping I'll be able to get some new ones from them again in future.

Here's fine and always happy to answer questions when I get the chance. 'Nearly Impossible' means impossible for now, but will be doable in future. I have a biomancy assignment chain planned which will enable you at the end potentially to do those options and the first part of that chain is in the game already.

I'm sorry for bombarding the regular posts with casual game related questions, but I'm not sure where else to post them. What do nearly impossible chances in biomancy mean? All potential bonuses don't apply to those checks and the standard chance is 0%. Does that mean it is actually impossible to perform them (and if this is true, then how are you supposed to perform them) or does it just mean that you have to score a crit to succeed? Thanks again for your help.
