Lmaooo I listened to this about 1 month later, but I’ll chuck my 2 cents but honestly the tips on the dating profiles definitely helps because I hate online dating and I feel like it highlights the worst parts of me. I don't think of myself as a bad looking dude but yeah I hate taking photos of myself because I can't smile on command, all my "selfie smiles" end up having me look like I'm in pain (the dreaded forced smile). Online dating makes me feel like a monkey in a circus where I can't focus on just talking normally you have to focus on "STANDING OUT" because you know you are competing with a bunch of other dudes when you DM girls. It doesn't help because IRL I hating dming/text messaging I literally never do it. unless you are like a true homie/bro or I am like responding to my mum to buy milk or dming/texting someone to eventually meet up. I am confident in person I like talking to people IRL and that’s my element. However, getting to that is the hard part. I also get it never helps being 26 literally never gone on a date or dated before, so I do always feel like a 15 year old mentally when it comes to talking about dating as I don’t have the experience others do at my age. While it doesn’t bother me personally as I feel like it’s not a big deal, whether other people might find that strange is a different story. That being said I do wanna try putting myself out there this year and hopefully I can learn from others and learn as I go as well.

also prolly doesn’t help that sooo many guys are just a helluva lot more forward and seem to think cutting straight to proposition is a winning bet for them. maybe i’m a romantic (actually, i know i am), but i want to get to know a person and connect most importantly! looks only carry you so far and so long. gimme someone whose physically not an aphrodite or an adonis, but who will stand the test of time when i’m spending all my time with them any day
